Huntsville Get Together

No, I was doing the driving as well so it was me letting of early. I was not watching the rpms only listening. Too much to watch and I mostly just watched the wideband. Kinda scary up top with lots of boost I was just waiting to here boom!! I really wish I would have stayed in it till 8k. I did have a few runs down low were I pulled it to 8k. Next time I really need someone to watch fuel pressure also. The clutch slipping was not too bad on most runs with lower boost. My next to last run at 24.5 psi the clutch slipped worst. Right were I was leting of. But it did not play a factor in why I let off. I did one more pull but in 3rd with the dyno at max load to see if that would help but it was actually worse and spun like the video I posted before on the street. Also on that pull I was 10.15 from 5500ish till I let off. I have to lean it out a good bit.
Mike, What clutch did you go with? I was talking to Exedy rep and I just found out their twin disc can be turned in to triple without replacing the whole clutch. I thought I share that info with you.. also, Exedy is highly considering to come out to DGRR 2008.... and most likely give away one set of clutch and flywheel
I'll know for sure tomorrow.

LOL! I need a ride in your car Mike! I don't think I've ever rode in a car that made 500+WHP.

Dang! the dyno graph is SMOOTH!! Looks like if you had the RPM, you'll hit 600!
By the slope of the HP line, I saw by 8500+??

I know 600 is capable but it will need much more boost then the 22.5 on that run. The last graph is showing top pulls with boost (not torque). The one that cuts off at 6400rpm was at 24psi and made 405 torque. I think that would have yielded 550 to ? at 8k. I have to know so hope it holds together. I would like to make 600 before the gap event.
Yeah, the clutch is very streetable... Eveyone should get one for there kids to learn driving a manual!!! haha..
I am a little worried about how it is going to feel but I think it will be fine. Besides, I am winning a excedy twin!

Mike they aren't giving away the twin disc.. did I post that.. I think I was just saying I talked to the guy regarding twin disc and how you could upgrade them without changing the whole clutch.
As of now, everything looks good fro Exedy sponsoring DGRR 2008.. But they will be giving away their stage 1 with Flywheel ($600 in value).

this was orginally posted by drift-sport in the 3rd gen dyno chart thread. Here's what he said as to mods:
"All the basic motor and safety mods. Running .9 bar, no air pump, no cats, stock motor with 22000 miles, stock twins and front mount."

i'm looking at something close to that when i finally finish mine up. fmic, no cats, stock motor, and a whole crap-load of reliability mods. i'll have to chase down mike after i can afford to buy a 2nd one and do a lsx swap.
please ot another v8 fd!
I think you should have no problem hitting say 350rwhp+ with basic bolt ons and a good tune. many have done it back in the day and with some of the nicer parts out now 375 with a tad more boost has been scene.

who really knows... I have scene this much on stockers with a high mile motor. Having a fresh NEW motor and the 99 twins with a "GOOD" tune will make the differance. But like always said it will be in the tune!
Dang, seems like everyone's having a baby.. My sister in Nashville called me and said she had her kid yesterday!
And Zonblitz from New Orleans had a kid over the weekend.
