Dude the s2000 isn't all its made up to be. I test drove the one at Honda a few weeks ago, you might have seen it, black with a carbon fibre hood and black rims. Looked really sweet, but I wasn't impressed. First off Honda was gay about it and almost wouldn't let me take it for a test drive, so I ended up taking the sales rep with me. That was funny cause he had no idea what kinda ride I was going to take him on. While we were driving he kept saying how fast it was, and I was like buddy this thing aint that fast. It has a nice redline, but you really have to be up there to get any kinda power out of it. I wasn't impressed with handling at all, took him down some road the rx7 could do an easy 130mph through a gradual S curve. Well I had it up to about 100mph (with the guy in it, haha) and the rear end broke loose in the 2nd curve. I backed off the throttle but held into it slightly and straightened it back up, it did recover nicely. I was so shocked that it broke loose, there was no reason for it to do that. He said he'd call me back when they get a new one in to test the handling on it, said it should be better. They did call me the other day to take a questionare, so I guess he wasn't bullshitting me. Anyways, thats my experience and 2cents.

g'night- Chris
Yeah thats right, I pulled up in the Mini at Honda. I spent more time on their lot showing off the Mini than any of their sales reps were showing off Honda's cars.

I never said it wasn't over rated. But compared to her accord it will be the fastest thing ever lol. Plus she doesnt drive a 400hp FD everyday, so it will be plenty (and she doesnt drive like Dan or I would lol) For me, i would go for FD, but I think the s2k would be good for her.

Get an NSX. They had a black one up there a while back, but they wouldn't let anyone touch the thing let alone drive it. There use to be a guy in town with a yellow one a few years back when I first got my FD. He had about 450hp in the thing, one of the fastest cars around at the time.

I've seen both of those NSX's. But we're talking about trading in an accord here, not a Viper

...and we all know who has the fastest car around now, dont we?
It's certainly not MY rx-7 lol although mine is the fastest at the high school....but that doesnt count.

Search for a TVR restored or kept up like this one. About half the weight of my rx7 with about half the power, is one hell of a fast car that handles awsome. Plus it looks cool and its very rare, I think this guy was selling this one for 22k. If I had the money I'd buy it, another one of those cars you'd never see twice.

I believe it was Randell across from the college, just after it crosses Kerr. As soon as you go over Kerr it opens up a bit so you can see ahead of yourself, then there is a gradual S curve, just after the curves is a short straight and the next stop light. I've had my FD a whole lot faster than 100mph in curves much much sharper than those. Brian from rotorsports got to go on an interesting ride with me the day before we took it to the dyno.....haha......130mph sideways.

Not necesarily in this order, but all these cars are packing big horspower. If your not running mid to low 11's forget about it, these guys would make you look silly.

Porche 911 twin turbo
eclipse awd
white supra
300zx
another eclipse
corvette with engine mods and NOS
camero ss with engine mods and NOS
my rx7

Bring your car down here and race the 300zx, he still has stock turbos. I think his clutch is messed up right now, so you might have to race his brother in the porche. They run about the same or pretty close anyways. If you beat them then you can race me or the one eclipse.

no way. no more racing for me. not anymore.

i saw a street race go bad yesterday. i told chris about it. two of my friends were racing intown and one of them blew a tire and hit a telephone pole at about 80 head on. broke both his legs in about 3 places alond wiht other injuries. and the guy he was racing was his brother. so no more street racing for me for a while

and besides, what is it, mortal kombat street racing? you have to work your way to the top? i jsut want to see the cars and see hwo they perfrom. i knwo that my car couoldn;t hold up to them.

Well yeah in a way you have to work your way up to the top to race certain people. I'm not gona race just anyone and waste my gas, abuse my engine, and take a chance on getting a ticket. I raced a honda civic one time cause he showed me his dyno sheet, which was higher than mine. My car was still stronger and I pulled on him bad on top end everytime. People mess with me just about everytime I take my car out and very rarely do I get on it to beat them. I just let them think they have a fast car, but anyone who is anyone knows whats up.

No, it's not rice, its horsepower, since when has horsepower been rice??

Dan, I know all of the car's you're talking about except the Vette and the 'other eclipse'. I'm thinkin the SS you're talking about is the one with the license plate "Hot SS" If you guys ever hang out, I want to see all these cars, see what I have to work towards. Dan, you think you're only running low 11's? I think you should be faster, especially with the power you're making. We need to have one huge meet at the Rock lol, get everyone's times. After the new year I'll start building my car...hopefully the 11's will be here shortly but for now I'd be happy with high 15's

The other eclipse is the guy at NU Image, ran an 11.20. The camero is a guy named Phill, runs 11's spraying. The vette is a guy named Andy, runs 11's spraying. My car right now without the new turbo on yet is around 400rwhp which is mid 11's for a good driver. An fd with 375rwhp is capable of 11.8.
