Just to reiterate:

No Lawyer - 3 points, $250 fine, license suspended for 90 days, court costs

Lawyer - $250 lawyer fee, court costs

Not to mention, the difference between the two tickets is huge. The 96 in a 55 where I had no lawyer I got on I-95 in Richmond, Christmas Eve, with not another soul on the road. Literally, a four lane highway where I saw a car maybe every 5 minutes. And I was rushing to get home for midnight mass! Bastards!

The racing (which was pretty reckless and not intelligent) was in downtown GV where you definitely should not speed. And yet, nothing, nada, zilch. Of course, I've been driving like an old lady now for the last year and nine months.

 

yeah, the guy he was with got the ticket dropped because his lawyers really good. Chris is gettin the # for that lawyer from the guy tonight. he's gunna charge prolly more than 250. but one guy told Chris a good lawyer will cost him 800. Chris engine is gunna blow, and were gunna put the engine he's rebuilding and my ported stuff in it. it'll be way faster, scott said with how we are gunna run it, we're gunna be pushing 250 HP. N/A. so, thats gunna be fun stuff. I dont think my mom and dad will sell the car UBLESS, Chris gets screwed in court.

 

well i wish him luck. he has a lot going bad for him right now, but he still has a bright future ahead of him.

 

BTW joel and chris, got some new stuff for the car

bomex kit and HKS hiper racing exhaust, and HKS hiper dampers

the exhaust is on....adn sound schweet.

the kit is till being fitted.

the dampers will wait for a while

 

actually, he's better off than most people. the cop was lying, and Chris has the surveliance video from work. so now were gunna be good to go, still gunna cost atleast 300, but it's better than gettin screwed over like he was going to. and yeah, he has a long future, but his car doesnt. we dont even think it'll last til' november

 

well driving it the way he does doesn;t help the situation any :

 

actually he never drives it hard anymore, he used to but for like the past 3 months he hasnt like been going all that fast, or accelerating fast. Do you know what we should do, it's burning coolant because the seals are messed up. so the engine is gunna be trash if we take it out and replace the seals, and if we drive it until it blows then it's not gunna be worth anything either.

 

do you have any cheapideas to get it to last until december, when we can put the engine he's rebuilding in it?

 

there are a couple coolant system sealers youc ould try. just pour them in and they seal small holes. i do not knwo how well it would work on main seals like that tho. and i don;t knwo what kind fo effect it would happen if it was int eh combustion chamber.


other than that i would say run straight distilled water. less damage to the combustion chamber. might help it last a little longer. the water will not damage teh rest of the seals as much as normal coolant.

you could try running a different theromostat or radiator cap to lower the temp of the engine. that way the system isn;t in as much pressure, and the leak isn;t as bad.

we put a new radiator cap on there, and it didnt do anything. and now we are runing straight water through it. and I think you should get the second one

Chris- don't sweat the ticket, i've had 3 careless and wreckless's in Wilmington and was caught racing twice. Get a lawyer and get it reduced. My first two I had reduced due to my clean driving record, the 3rd I had to go to driving school.
