He was looking to install a R1 wing and front lip the last time I talked to him. I'm not sure his wife's age, but I don't think she looks very old at all, so that might not have been her. Was this lady blonde or dark-haired?

Just a small update: Installed the Nippondenso fuel pump tonight. Haven't got around to the profec-b spec 2 yet. Still haven't got my LM-1 Wideband either.

 

I think everyone here in Bama is making progress getting their cars together except me and Phil. I'm with Brad on being fickle about the mods... I bought a fmic, but now I think I'm going to modify the setup for v-mount, since the battery's location moved.

I just cleaned off the motor that's going in the VR FD and going to finish up the simplified seq set up today and get the engine pulled out in next couple of weeks out of the VR... So, VR FD might be running soon! I got motivated after seeing Chris yesterday at the Barber track!

 

^PHIL, I should be available to help out after this weekend. The past month has been full of me driving, so a break will be nice.

BTW I need new front rotors they look like a dried up lake bed, millions of stress cracks. I knew about mid day Sunday they started feeling funny, guess I should have checked them before running any more, but oh well no harm no foul I guess.

Well, I cleaned the engine, turbos on, LIM, doing the simplified vac now.. I should have the engine completed by tomorrow... Oh, I need some block off plates.. or make some..

After that, I need the engine out of the VR and put this one in.. I say 4 days total??

Brad, It is real easy to get to. Its located on the parkway and University intersection. (Kinda) Well Shoneys is on the corner and Big eds is next to it on the parkway.

Yeah, very funny Mike...hard to race a Porsche when I'm trying not to go beyond 3/4 throttle but you just had to make me kick it on down I was having to watch my boost gauge, the PFC, my speed, the road...hell I even held up the box to the Greddy Boost Controller to see if I could get a reading off it! I let off at 120 because I-565 is not friendly at those speeds But it was a lot of fun. Let me get my profec-b hooked up and we'll do it again

Oh and, the pizza was good. I had a good time. Let's do that more often.

 

I saw 134 on my digital speedo and I was waiting to see a cops lights come on! .. I do not want to race you with your boost controller hooked up as I know what the out come will be!

Yeah, I say once a month we meet up for dinner. Same place or differant? Meeting up and talking cars makes me want to come home and get going on my FD!

 

I hear that. When I got home last night I got online to look up more parts to buy.

 

I had a good time meeting all of you. I wish I could have gotten there earlier. Hopefuly we can get some more of these cars back on the road.
