Ummmmmmm.

Why not mount the correct tire and get more traction with a wider tire??? I dont think that is very safe.

I would be worried about getting in an accident with something like that, then NOT being covered because something like this is obviosuly not very safe.

Correct tire?
255s are plently enough rubber.
They are stretched for wheel fitment.

I'm sure car will look great at proper ride height

^^^ its a drift thing..... you wouldnt get it. anyway , im more than likely going to run a 275 instead just for the fact that its easier to get tires mounted at events.

What good is looking "cool" when your tire pops off the bead and you crash?
Im not interested in the sport, but I "get" drifting and I get the style thing,...........but what exactly is the point here with these stretched out tires........just looks? If thats the case, then it must really mean a lot to look that way, when such a serious safety issue results from it.

Stretched tires do look amazing IMHO. I'm not getting into whether it's detrimental or not but we popped the bead off some stretched advan oni's drifting the other day in my friends 240, and those weren't stretched that far.

Your friend "drifted" into hit a curb or ran over a manhole, huge pot hole.

get the story straight.

People have been doing this for years.

All around the world, and for many decades.

From low riders to SUVs...Used widely in racing , street and circuit.

Started in Germany... local laws required that the tire tread be within the fender line. Well that doesnt allow one to run wider or lower offset wheels, so they put narrower tires on the wheel to maintain legality

When running wide or low offset wheels and keep the tire tread at the fender

When you would like to go really low and not rub

Thinking your going to be faster down the strip, running 15 psi tire pressure for drag racing is okay. right? more traction?
your not listening to the owners manual or manufacturer specs

Honestly , i'd be more worried on those cheap **** chinese turbos and coilovers
you guys run, or better yet the oh so tight chinese cast piece of **** wheels.

Why can't you afford the real parts again?

Oh Yea... because it "LOOKS" the same.

I must be dumb for actually replying to such ignorant remark

REted fanboys are getting all riled up now

OMG! DRIFT CARZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Basically if you posted after either of these with your stretch preach you either didn't read or just felt like preaching to the choir?

the real issue is the exposed lips..... One slight hit to a manhole or any pothole and the lips would be damaged, it would be a real shame to mess up those SSR meshies.....

Baller?
I usually associate "baller" with someone who spends excessively or extravagantly...
Stretch hippari is for cheap asses who cannot afford the proper width tires.
So, you contradicting yourself.

You guys gotta relax. Every stretched tire thread, it's your mission to post that you don't like it. We get it. Everyone gets it. Safety first and all. Great.

It's like if I didn't like cheap POS offbrand wheels that can crack off the hub and cause an accident (like many jackasses on RX7Club run), and made an effort to post EVERY TIME I saw one. "You know that's not safe! That's just so not safe!!"

People don't care.

I've been running stretched tires for years. My friends have been running stretched tires for longer than some people on this forum have owned cars or had their licenses. It's no problem.

My current tires are 255s on a 9.5" wheel. Not stretched. I don't care. I've put 215s on a 10 before, and still not cared.

I get my tires from the back of tire shops because unlike most of you negative nancys, I actually drive my car. I've gone through 12-15 sets of tires this past season. I'm not gonna be picky about sizes. If it's laying around and has tread on it, I mount it and drive on it. It's just fine.

Oh and while we're at it, let's see photos of your cars. How many events have you been to? How often have you actually done something interesting in your car other than park it and take pictures to post on RX7Club? Never? Then move away from the keyboard.

Hey, grab your sandals, walk like 20 miles to nearest Wal Mart or whatever
you have, get a camera and post pictures of your car and the race car your building.

Talk about broke ***.

Whose running 16s again?

You talk about huge tires all day long, whens the last time
you ran anything over a 265

No more chinsey, copy and paste replies from you anymore.

Mores pictures and less bullshit from you.

Anyways I recall, before this forum got "flooded" by drifters.

You say " Bippu" , " Hippari " like you were some kind of anime fan boy

and now your hating on it because one of the " drifters " got you mad at yourself.

Be a real man, and un block me.

Don't run away from your problems.
