Hey hey!

Alright I have some things we need to talk about.

I want to do a blow through turbo setup on my 88 SE. I want a reliable torquey setup.

What I want so far:

Weber LIM + Weber 48MM IDA? (or whatever you say!)
Carb hat from Rotaryshack
Malpassi fuel regulator from Rotaryshack
SSAutocrhome stock turbo manifold
Stock s5 turbo/ ported wastegate
MBC (turbo XS maybe?)
Corksport intercooler core/my own piping + couplers
BOV
Oil tap to the front cover a-la camden style
downpipe/midpipe
boost gauge
wideband 02
MISC jets (or take care of me ahead of time)
Centerforce clutch
Jacobs Ignition
And other random stuff.

use a sidedraft , not a ida, the ida's float is brass and dosnt work well with boost

ss autochrome does not make a manifold to fit a stock turbo and those are the worst manifolds ever made, guaranteed to crack !!!

stock s5 turbo is good, wastegate is large enough as to where it dosnt need to be ported, why not use a stock s5 exhaust manifold? with a t 2 lower intake manifold match ported to your motor? everything will clear just fine

corksport intercooler is the $99.00 china ones they sell on ebay, save yourself some money

everything else looks good, you need a walbro 255 in tank fuel pump , a turbo d/p and exhaust system, add that to your list...

is your motor stock, mileage? what mods do you currently have?

Will a Weber 45MM sidedraft do fine then?

Is Weber's manifold compatable withthe 45MM sidedraft?

My motor is internally stock with 40k on a reman engine.

SSAC does have a replacement stock manifold on their site http://www.ssautochrome, but I could just use the s5 manifold/turbo.

I'de perfer not to do the port matching stuff or notch my frame also.

Will a 255 Walbro go over well with a carb'd setup? With the Malpassi regulator?

My mods are in sig, I can easily remove the header/presilencer combo and use a new downpipe system. Thanks also for the note of the intercooler .

Arg this is hard trying to get information on this stuff .

I had one person telling me to use a downdraft, then now a sidedraft.

And I now agree on the SSAutochrome manifold.

What is needed to incorporate a wideband into my setup (full kit needed or just o2 sensor and guage) ?

Do I need the whole LM-1 setup or just the bung, wideband itself and an external air fuel guage?

I have the Power FC and datalogit. I'd like to untilize the a/f function.

to use a proper wideband you need the whole kit.. the lm1 is good.. wideband02.com is good too... innovate.com is also good ..
these are all very good tools for safley tuneing your car to run its best

check the injector wires to see if a signal(voltage) is getting to the actual injector.. if not, you might have a problem with your wiring from your cas to the ecu or you might have a problem in the ecu itself..

how important is it to lock the dizzy on a cartech turbo system? i mean it was designed to be a bolt on, so im assuming its not crucial, though id rather know.. mainly because im cheap and dont want to buy one locked, and not quite positive on doing it myself and setting timing there-after

with the cartech kits, you can run a stock dizzy with low boost only.. thats how it was sold back in the day.. to be used with stock ignition, but there was better gas back in the day too, leaded on top of it!
a locked dizzy is a good idea, if you dont want your motor to blow

Here's my problem. I can't seem to get my stock injectors out of my stock fuel rails. Is there some sort of process or trick to get them out?

Help!!. I'd like to get them sent out to be bored out and flow tested and cleaned.

I have a 1993 R1.
It's all stock, injectors, rails everything. The injectors just seem to be stuck in the rails. Do I soak them or something? I don't want to break the plugs on the top of them. I am able to twist them, they just won't come up. I guess there is no special technique?

Thanks, I got it. I just twisted and pulled really hard. Took out some anxiety on them. Those o-rings really were doing their jobs.
