Like I said, I have a Datsun 1200, I have a running 13b, I have a trans, i have a fuel system, carb, clutch, I can make the header, I have the nitrous kit, I have a p inch 3rd member with an aluminum spool and 5.14 gears, I have a set of Weld 15x7's with 26x8 hoosier slicks. I have 2 MSD 6AL's, I have most of the gauges, I have a fuel cell, I have a radiator, battery, wiring, seat. All this is **** I have lying around. I live near Las Vegas (where their car is coming from if I understand correctly). I can hook up with MannyVidal and Mac (13btnos) in mid Cali to tune the damn car.
The car needs an intake manifold, a rear end and axles, some slapper bars, and a cage. Oh, and paint too if you want it to look pretty.
Either way Im building this car. It can either go on pinks, or it doesnt have to, I dont care. It doesnt have a title, so thats why i dont care too much about it. I just have this junk lying around I wont be using on my RX3, and I want to take another shot at a nitrous car.

Just to clarify this one. It's not a done deal by any means, so it's up to us to generate the desire and buzz to have this happen. It started off as a simple idea that has snowballed into this. Two Cars already donated and 1/2 built. They'd be stupid not to cast some serious imports that will be capeable of 10's to run each other. We're both no nonsense forums that are serious about what we do. Both have a stable of 10 second or better street and strip cars with experienced builders on both ends helping out. This could be an Epic battle that will be talked about for a long time to come. I've got everyone I know working on this and like I have said over on our forum.
The more support and requests we get from our member the more likelyhood this will happen. So yes were are not confirmed on anything at this point, but if you don't have a car to race how do you expect a phone call? We've already sent it our casting request, and a follow up e-mail. I will be sending and reqested our members, to send e-mails to support our requests as well.
So the ball is in our court. Let's build the cars and the phone will ring. I know it.

I don't like pinks. (I like pinks all out) You don't have to have a fast car to win. I could win with my old 94 cavalier if I was a good sand bagger / negotiator. But I wish the rx7 people the best of luck if we do compete.

something tells me the people that matter the most as far as 1/4 mile racing goes are not interested or they would have already posted. I don't think they want to touch this with a 10 foot pole for some reason. 
if they're making a 10 sec car.... and we got a 10sec car..... then there should be no excuse to see nothing but heads up racing throughout the entire episode.
i WILL donate cash and i will put my ideas in but since all i see is nothing but talk, then we're never going to make this happen.
so far i've seen $100T2 WILLING to donate his FB for this build.... and several other willing to donate cash.....
we need ppl who are willing to donate a motor and their skills(which i've already seen)
if we are gonna build a 10 sec car we need to have the drive. so far im only reading HYPE on this forum and on 3TC im reading progress.
if someone is in close contact with the forum owner, bug the hell outta him until he makes a decision about whether or not he wants his forum to be represented. if not, then lets find another rotary forum owner who is interested.
and to get things rolling like some others have suggested make a sticky to make everyone aware, and i suggest make another sticky(open for discussion) solely dedicated to what has been donated, what we are needing, how much we have collected so far, and the overall progress.
oh and BTW, i think some ppl here dont know what the word "Donate" means.....
if you donate something, you more than likely wont get anything back. if you think you're gonna get your money back that you donated for this build, you are dead wrong, you think that once the car is built and raced, that you're gonna get you money back? you think an o-ring costs $20 bucks? you think this build will be worth anything if more parts than cash was donated?
im ashamed that not many ppl have taken the initiative.
we are a forum for a specific type of car and engine, we apparently hate some ppl here, and we dont act like family(i have seen a few big-wig members here actually act like family to others they dont know).....
for once if ever, get rid of any bad blood we got against each other, give as much cash into this as we possibly could until the actual filming date is set and the build is complete, and get some ppl who are skilled to donate their time and expertise to this....
until i see some ppl dedicate to this, all im reading is hype, in which case, we already lost

Fear not, I'll be starting the build thread in the next day or so. Since 10 seconds appears to be the goal, we are going to be assembling an honest 10 second nitrous car. And, since we using the lightest chassis possible (Datsun 1200), this shouldnt be too difficult. Viking Warhammer is working to get us a solid spot on the show.
