Beautiful run Jay. Congrats, the car looked like it was on rails too. You made that "look" easy.

^ thanks guys. My car is very stable all the way down the track. I think the added wheelbase from the sedan helps or my slow trap speeds. lol

No problem, any time. It was a real good time racing and hanging out with friends and family. Look forward to the next event. Congrats again on the win but there was no rotaries in your class, hence the win. But you gotta give the fastest run of the day to the rotary with Joe's 8.81. I think Joe and your buddy with the green Datsun will be a good match race. Next time keep him away from the pinnatas.

Im not going to rain on your win against the honda's congrats. But you only won cause there is no rotaries in the that category.

So, why didn't you run Joe??? Que pasa with that??? So, I guess another honda give away to you. Since you tried so hard to make the numbers..

How bout giving me the $1000.00 so you can get a real race... LOL

Definitely jay Jose got the 8.8 and our hats off to him it has been a long time coming. We will be there soon. He can run the Datsun or us once we get our traction set at Fontana.

And we didnt run Jose because he had to recert his license.
It will be a good run tho because his 8.8 pass went 5.63@123. And we have proven to go 5.75@123 so we are there.
He had the time of the day congrats again.

So now it's time for IFO so bring it ladies !!!!!!!!

LOL. I don't recall running a bye run. I ran a honda crx, I ran a miata, I ran the black 8 sec honda that I lost too. But I don't recall a bye run.

Actually if Erick the black civic didn't change category I would have lined up with you. Cause I beat all the one I line up with. So there is no bye run there.

But if you say I did? Then I did. Lets just wait and see when we are all at the track. I got no beef with you or the other guys this is just trash talk till everyone lines up.

I'm not worried either. My car was not even tune. Everyone knows that and no rebuilt for 6yrs on the same motor. That is a fact. You, You even have the eastcoast tuner helping you out.. LOL

I told you give me the 1000bucks I can get my car running to give you a damn good race!!

I'm not like Rene, gets called out and make excuses... Huh Rene? LOL I guess who is the bigger PekPek? LOL

All trash talk is all for fun boys. Lets enjoy racing when we are all in the track..

Junior Santos, Your dad is a cool cat. I talk to him a bunch of time. Win or lose no hard feelings here...

Janel your funny bro I like that and needed the laugh. Our east coast tuner is our friend and what difference does it make who tuned it obviously doesnt since your car isn't tuned but can still manage 10s and 125+mph right?
We will continue to be at events waiting for some weed wackers to show up.

Jose we would like you to come our to irwindale and bring your pampers because your gonna need it.

Rene said he will be out at ifo and we look forward to it

And yes this is all in fun but I will continue to call you guys out till I see all these so called fast rotories out at the track. Don't make me go to seven stock with a piston hanging from my neck. Lol
All this talking got Jose's 7 out and look what happened he ran his personal best!
So keep it coming

Actually that wasn't the fina. In the finals the civic red lit but trapped 147. And only weighs 2075lbs and we are at 2585lbs. Still pulled a 9.8 with the charge pipe popping off. Our 1/8th was only a 6.2@117 I believe.
Some suspension tuning and we will be at irwindale perhaps next week. And hopefully I'll have mine ready the week after. See ya there

Thats impressive bro. With the suspension tuned, I would not doubt that you get in the 8's.. Best of luck. I hope to see you guys at Irwindale.

I hope to see the peanut corolla make some good numbers also.. See you guys there..

Took my car at my local 1/8th mile track last Thursday to dial it in before my next race on the 20th and the problem with it falling on it's face came back to haunt me again. It's weird because the engine was running perfect when I ran it two weeks ago in the 1/4 mile. I made some slight changes with the setup and it started to act up just like the first time when I raced the 1/8th mile. So by the end of the night I put everything back the way I had it two weeks ago and it was still acting up. Reviewing the tape and the way the engine sounds, I think I may have an ignition related problem. I think one of my MSD's is taking a dump. Anyways, after three passes I ended up putting her back on the trailer. I did one hell of a wheelie though. Here's the video. As you can see and hear she aint feeling well.

The miss at the launch is deferentially fuel bowl flooding, If it was ignition it would miss thru-out the whole run. Work on slipping the clutch somehow or install a wheelie bar to keep the front end down.

That's what I thought until it was doing the same thing when I accelerated without doing a wheelie. Two weeks ago when I raced at Fontana it was not doing a big wheelie but the tires spun a little and then it took off with a slight wheelie with no hesitation either. It' also does it a little when free reving the motor.

Anyways, I decided to go EFI for next year. Car is getting a bunch of upgrades for next year. I need to be able to datalog in order to be competetive with all the full tube chassis Honda's and Toyota's.

we have the white car on efi now, with alot of other upgrades since 98'. we did go the fastest with stock rx7 rear axle and stock 85 non turbo tranny to this day tho.. even the PR's gave us lots of respect when we took it to Atco. we didnt win but it was the talk of the day 11:40 et's all day long.........

on a side note, did your car make more than 280 rwhp or less?
the black car managed 280 rwhp with a 45mm p-port ID on gas with a 58mm carb... fyi no secrets here, its not the most hp but it is fun to drive on the street
