Is your 4 link adjustable? If so, A little more anti-squat could keep the wheels on the ground with better traction.

I have very little adjustability because the car is stock chassis and thus uses the stock mounting points. The stock 4 links are in same position but have adjustable heim joints. I did make brackets to move arms up and down but since the upper arms are shorter than the lower arms when you make one hole change it moved instant center too much and it would unload tires and spin badly.

Maybe try to get a lighter so you could hit that nine second pass. We will just change the gearing in rear end and maybe do suspension work in the rear we need somebody to make us some of the upper and lower arms. he has the stock on his car,

Been awhile since an update- made some changes to suspension and steering. Installed manual rack and pinion and tubular control arms. 4th pass on new set up I ran my fastest 1/8th and 1/4 mile. A mouse fart away from that 9 second pass! These passes were done at a hot Fontana track so I wm looking forward to Bakersfield in September.

damn nice work! Been following this from the beginning.

Want to show us a sneak peak of the rack and pinion? I'm looking to put one in my 73. I have it figured out, but there has to be an easier way than the way I'm planning. Maybe you figured it out already.

Went to IFO event yesterday in Bakersfield. Was very hot and a full 17 cars. Only made one qualifying pass with 10.2. Made it to semi finals and red lighted- first time I ever done that 😔 I did manage my fastest pass of 131.25 mph but couldn't get the car to hook as the track prep was lousy so the Hondas wouldn't break lol. Another 10.0 pass! The 9 second gods are against me lol.

I re designed my header like I have been wanting to do for years. Car pulls like a turbo car on the top end. I added fuel after the new header as I knew it would pull more intake charge in and it wasn't enough. First pass I melted the leading plug because it ran so lean. Added a bunch of fuel and it ran faster and faster and I'm still too lean. It's going to get better. I thought I might have hurt the motor from the detonation but my compression is 100 and 105psi- this is after 5 years of 11000 rpm passes. I must have 200 passes on this motor and I haven't touched it yet. I plan to open it up this winter and refreshen everything but this engine has been so reliable it's crazy
