The quest for 9's all motor

Hey guys, it's been pretty boring around here lately so I thought I would start a thread on my conversion from 12a to 13bpport in hopes to crack a 9 second pass all motor this year.

Just got my carb today. This is the KING of all IDA carbs out there. The terminator II 62 mm. This thing is bad ***! Makes my 51 Weber look like a little chainsaw carb. lol

I got some more bling to show later, but that's enough for now.

I know, I had to lean forward and take the picture close so that I could hide it under the workbench.

Thanks and I will have Rene make me a custom intake manifold. I'm going to use the 12a as a mock up engine for my trans. and run it one time at Irwindale and then the 13b goes in for the rest of the year. I should have the 13b in for the first event.

So here's a question, why not use ITBs and a good EMS? Couldn't you get better results then using a carb?

I'm going with the carb right now because I'm all set up for it fuel wise and I don't think too many people really gave the TII carb 100%. Most people went fuel injection with methanol and tossed the carby's in the trashcan. I'm going to see how fast I can go with the carb first with gas and then methanol. But realistically I think I will need to go with a custom fuel injection setup on methanol to get into the 9's. But we shall see.

Well all motor is my favorite class maybe one day we will build another all motor car (-: but in stead we are building a real stock chassis "no minitubs" FDRX7 it will be powered by a 13B turbo engine .... i am sure it will be fun and exited trying to put the power to the ground on a untub , nonchassis rx7 .... Can't wait to try it (-:
