A Question for some Rotary Experts

I had a Jocobs Pro Pak ignition system in my car, but i don't know how good this unit is, I mean wat kind of HP will max out this unit?

Do anyone know about this?

This is a good unit when u push about 550 rwhp . I'm sure about this. Because everytime when i hit N20 switch, there is some problem..... if i dont hit the rocket button, the car was fine....

BTW, i use NGK 11.5 or HKS racing plugs, NGK wires and 2nd gen coils .... so,the problem shouldn't be this few things.

So, is anyone know about above wat kind of RWHP, u need a better units?

care to elaborate further as to what this problem sounds/feel/tastes/smells like ??????? then we might be able to help, otherwise me saying that you have the switch wired back to front and its causing a wormhole to form and it sucking in air from another dimension - could be very possible :P

Hey Jefferey!
You can always blame it on Marco!
That way the next time the wormhole was to form it would suck him in first!
Seriously what's the problem you're experiencing?
You need to explain a little further.
BTW. Has the wormhole maker tied the knot as yet?

You say the problem only happens when you hit the N20 button.

Could be either an ignition based problem or fueling issues....

IMO, it's a waste of money.&nbsp An MSD 6A or Crane Cams HI-6 would've done the same thing for HALF the price...

Actually i was trying to ask how good the Jacob ignition box is.........

i know is hard to help if i dont give more details or tell wat happened at the dyno..........

BTW we was using 4 forgers to push more N2O and it dont go right all the time........ and someone was telling me if u want to push alot of N2O u need a better ignition system... or more sparks......

Thatswhy i was wondering wat kind of power u willl max out the Jacob ignition box.......? This is my main Question is! And i dont want to waste my money to buy 2 MSD units if i dont really need it........

Fuel?....... NO..... I'm pretty sure the air fuel ratio is good.....

Hey Chris!

We just finish the new porting motor and i will going to put it in soon and i will let u know how much power it gain....

Allow me to explain for Jefferlito.

He's saying that the spark is getting blown out at high boost (26#) and N20. The Jacobs box may be reaching its limit. After this happens the plugs are usually contaminated and we must switch em.

On the track it definetely runs richer, because we run through plugs way more often.

Doing some research, it seems that not all spark boxes are created equal, everybody is steering us towards the 7AL2 and a DISII for the trailing. he just doesn't want to buy things twice. right now the car makes 540 off the bottle.

So somebody tell Jeffrey to stop being tight and drop the hay for the two boxes!

Cris tell him!

BTW yes I got married on saturday. The whole 16 driver field of the ISDS Pro-street class could have been killed by alcohol poisoning!

Why can't you just narrow the gap?

There's got to be a reason why all the pros run MSD's!
I've always and will continue to run MSD's. In this buisness you can't argue with reliable and consistent results.
BTW. I run my fuel mixture with NOS mostly around 10.5:1 and richer and don't have any problems with misfires or fouling plugs. I can run it as rich as 9.8:1 before misfire occurs. Good porting allows you to do that!
Jeffrey, Marco is correct! At youl level of performance you need Ignition on the trailing also.

I have a used 7AL-2 box for 400CND if you interested.

BTW Marco, mind if i ask how this one black FD from Cambridge ( Nelson DeSilvera ) ran when you were tunnig it ...... he claims to have raced this 12s FC ( that i know runs hard ) and beaten it.

What kind of mods/upgrades did he do it it ? Last time i remember seeing him, he ran 14.5s on the track in his FD before.
