Engines Final Resting place

This engine is being but together to go into my 94 track car. Everyone says that may be too much power for a uni-body with a roll cage but i will cross that bridge when i get there.

Thumbs up Re-nitrate

Nothing has been Re-nitraded as of yet. I do plan on doing so once all the machining and fabrication is finished. I have found a place that offers this service

As of today, the rotors have been sent to get cut to 3mm Grooves and we will be waiting for CLR to set up the Jigs at his Machine shop to start cutting the Housings for the Peripheral Ports

Isn't this company CLR Motor Sports the one that is also building a 4 Rotor twin turbo for the streets for some person here in New York, that's also going in to a FD ..... any information on who the owner of the car is and if this is the company that's building the motor would be greatly appreciated ....thanks.

move to a motec, seeing that your going on an expensive build, you should opt for the best out there but as far as anything i dont think an e6k will work with a 4 rotor...

Or he could use 2 power FCs if he is constantly tuning and doing research on this engine.

that would add too many complications, like tuning for 2 engines now its as a whole complete so it would be easier for one capable computer to control the whole engine not individual computers unless they communicate through a CAN bus system... im not sure but im just guessing dont take my word..

Thumbs up GSL-SE Plates

Just got these in yesterday from a fellow forum member in west palm. They look to be in really great condition. first step for these will be to send them out to get re-surfaced.

In 24 years of owning the same CLR #, It's NOT the 1st time, and most certainly will not be the last time I don't pay my phone on time !

Special Interest projects, recent endevavors, and Corporate TAXES just due
are but just some issues requiring additional personal attention lately.
Needless to say, the phone bill was not one of those.

Phone is back up and business as usual.

You know that's one of probably three phone numbers that I cannot forget.
What's up Carlos.
You got to make time to go out and play sometimes!
Are you going to be at Homestead this weekend?

Yes,
Besides the engine mentiones in this thread, we are currently building and developing several other 4 Rotor engine combinations
2 Full Race Peripheral Port versions, one of whitch will race on Ethanol, and ...
a "Streetable" Twin Turbo MEGA Hp. 4 Rotor version.

As to the 4 Rotor Twin Turbo Fd : At the Owner's request, we are not at liberty to give details of this project at this time. Only details are that development is all done, ancillaries, manifolds, and sub systems also done, engine is in final stages of assembly, and initial setup and tuning will be done on our Engine Dyno prior to instalation.
The project is quite far along, and it's a matter of time before testing.
The project's owner also wishes to remain anonymous for the time been.

The 4 Rotor Shaft and kit for this project was purchased through and imported by :
- AMV Racing of Orlando Fl.

On a side note,

Why isn't anyone in the US mass producing the neccessary parts to produce 3 and 4 rotor motors? Besides the few 1 or 2 shops that grinded cranks for their own projects, no one else seems to be interested in marketing these things.. I know there's not a huge demand for it but I'm sure alot of folks will rather build a short crank 3 rotor with widely available 13b parts, and not have to worry about finding a replacement 20b "thick iron" or crank... We have the tooling and materials here, so why not build it here?

easy lol... cost of the r&d needed to do all this just out weights the money that could potentially be brought in. since there isnt much demand there isnt a lot of need to invest in such a venture. now granted if there were a lot more reasonable priced options out there then im sure demand would rocket upwards buuuut till that day... not much will change im sure.

I wish I had access to a custom 3 or 4 rotor eccentric shaft. I'd draw it up in Inventor (since that's all I do all day anyways) and machine it here at work. We have the ability. Of course we build eccentric shaft for up to 3000 hp mud pumps so this would actually be a very small project. The time to do it is a different story and definitely no time to build them for others. Copying an existing shaft wouldn't be difficult. It's getting a hold of one that is. That's probably why you don't see more of them. Engineering one from scratch isn't easy and it would generally cost quite a bit if you had to buy an existing one if your sole intention is to make them yourself. Money is the biggest issue.

I wish you did too. We need a localized source here in the states for shafts like these. Someone needs to hook RG up.
