m3 looks like its widebody to me, and if you have the money to convert an m3 to widebody, you've got alot. also, you can see that the toureg to the right of the m3 has the same german flag on the front right quarter panel......

and again, look at the pic of the m3. it doesnt look to me like the edge of the headlight of the car to the left matches a toureg OR cayenne....i could be mistaken, or the other toureg could be on the other side....

 

AboveAll7s, you have given me thorough reason to get back into heavy training. I will be coming to Florida by next summer(a scheduled visit), and I will do my damnedest to find these guys.

for the record, I am 3/4 german descent, not that it matters, but I do see it this way, if these guys have a car club and soupe up their cars to insane ammounts, isn't that a prefferable use of their time than them, say, killing people or spouting hateful rhetoric?

 

I am no guru as you say I just know the basics. But know that I look at that car it looks strangly familiar. Like I have seen it around here. There are a few M3 in WV but not like this. It would be the only reason why I would remeber it. Now I know that car was bought and then painted. I knew I have seen it somewhere. That Widebody kit is custom only about 5 mae if i am correct and there was one in a magazine about 5 months ago. Had a feature on the kit its self.

Now For the car on the left it is not a tourage. It is sittin way to low. That or the guy who took the pic is a really tall guy. Notice how the hood indents right to the left of the light alomost like a newer mercedes. Probably a cl series of car if i am not mistaken.

A race isn't all about mass, it's also about air drag.

The faster the race goes, the more your ratio of hp to luftwiederstand (total drag in Deutsche) matters, and the less, far less, your hp to weight ratio matters. Bonneville top speed cars are heavy on purpose. Because high weight gives better traction when the primary thing you are trying to do is fight aero drag, not accelerate at max possible g.

The mistake you made was in being PLAYED.

By starting the race at a 40 mph roll, you largely negated the ONE area where you had a distinct advantage: hp to weight ratio.

 

Au contraire on the different power levels needed for gas or diesel to win. It takes a certain level of hp to take any given vehicle any given speed. It doesn't matter if it runs on diesel, gasoline, nitromethane, or a gerbil cage.

So, if it takes 850 hp to beat someone on gasoline, it takes 850 hp to beat them on diesel.

1400 foot pounds of torque will not make you go 160 mph unless it is at an RPM that results in enough hp to go that speed.

I can produce that much torque by wedging an Olympic bar under a hunk of steel and lifting the other end as a lever. But, that is at .06 rpm, so the hp is extremely low.

hp is hp no matter what RPM it happens at. Torque is an utterly meaningless value unless it is translated, via RPM into hp.

Supposedly it has 340 hp and will do 150 mph, or the 450hp and 165 mph.

165 mph, fellas. On 450 hp. It may be big, but it is slick.

Drag varies as the square of speed.

But horsepower to go that speed varies as the CUBE of speed.

The Lamborghini Diablo went, according to a test run by Road and Track magazine, 202 mph. That means, to 101 it would only be using 1/8th of the hp. Namely, 60 hp instead of its full 480 that it had at the time of testing. (supposedly, but this was a car driven STRAIGHT from the factory by two Lambo test drivers. So who knows how much power it really had.)

If the Cayenne can do 165mph stock, then why is it so hard to believe a modded Touareg/Cayenne could win a race?

The root of all racism is being offended at differences. Since it is very rare for people to be offended at people who are like them, (except for two chicks wearing the same dress to the Prom,) then people will accrete together according to their strengths, and denigrate others according to their weaknesses. Which is counterproductive, because how much are you ever going to learn from people who are just like you are?

It makes people uncomfortable to be confronted with their deficiencies. So, they gather in groups that have the same general traits, and cut themselves off from the rest of the world, which world has other people, that combined with that group, would bring strengths to the group that they are too afraid to admit they don't have.

But, racism, whether practiced by *****, asians, or whoever, is just division. Division that isolates that group from anyone who is strong in areas where they are weak.

And it is based in two things: fear and pride. Of course, here is another pandemic racism in society. It is okay to say Black Pride, Asian Pride, etc. etc. But if you say White Pride you are a filthy **** racist cross burning scum.

That is called a "double standard."

Even the divisions based on American vs: asian cars, rotary vs: pistons, etc. Sure, everyone has their prefs. But I am not going to shut my mind to learning anything form someone who drives a Honda.

Being offended at differences blinds people to obvious truth. Even if the differences you are offended at are practiced by the majority of people in your neighborhood.

So much talk about V10 diesels and Porsche Cayenne swaps but nobody thought of the most obvious: I think it was rather a W12 with twin turbos on them. You know, 3/4 of a W16, like in the stock, 1,001hp, quad turbo 8.0 Bugatti W16? The Touareg can be bought with a N/A W12 in Europe, so it should not be too hard to swap in a W12 from a totalled VW Phaeton or Audi A8, or even a twin turbo W12 from a Bentley Continental, which comes with, ahem, 'bout 550hp stock. South American born German expatriates living in South FL should not be uncommon, and being kids of rich pre-war emigrants, SS or Gestapo or what-have-you runaways will let them afford the mods on their "people's cars". I dig the story, hell, I'll call the FBI, CIA or the NSA and tell them to be mindful of these *****!

 

Some more food for tought: diesels don't have throttles, so diesel guys don't use BOVs (the story mentions that "His damn BOV was louder than my obnoxious cat-less exhaust"); a high powered, tricked out diesel engine will also throw out a huge cloud of black smoke on its wake, something so obvious that AboveAll7s would not have failed to mention it. Damn, such a Tuareg (less the **** propaganda, obviously) will make for the ultimate stealth killing machine.
