So I take it he's raced and beat McLarens and such, both road and straight line?

obvious?

Why has nobody thought of an obvious possibility - this guy dynoed 488whp on race gas, and this night he was on pump gas. That would make the story more believable. Anyway, I believe it. Why the hell would someone make up a story about getting beaten by SUV's driven by *****? Honestly?

I posted your story on a website I frequent http://forums.importatlanta.com/showthread.php?t=12476 and one person on it PM'ed me this:

met the m3 driver in jacksonville when I was racing for FRM porsche. My boss at the time had a gemballa 996. He puts down an average of 850 to the wheels and his peak number on spray was 1014hp. His name is Mike and he works for an Audi company in LA right now, but back to the point. The guy had heard that Mike was putting down some serious numbers and managed to find out where our race shop was located. He came by talking a whole lotta **** about his car - and come to find out, one of our technicians used to worked at the machine shop where they did all the work on the M3 engine. He knew that it was bad, but told mike to be more than confident if he felt like racing. Mike only agreed to run him on the 1/8 mi. track and a road racing event that was being held at road atlanta during the next following week. After the guy kept throwing racial slurs and talking a whole lotta **** it never happened, but I heard about 3 weeks later one of my buddies who lives down in south beach (single turbo z06 - conservative tune of 650hp) got spanked on the interstate by a all blacked out M3. I am not sure if his race was with the same guy but I have not seen many all black m3's run that strong. Maybe this helps, maybe not! Got any more questions let me know! Peace!

Oh and I think it is very possible that the VW was the turbo model not the v-10 (unless he showed you) because I have seen the turbo models put down 600 hp to the wheels and 700+ lbs of torque!

I didnt bother reading anything in this long *** thread exept the initial post, so if I repeat somthing, sorry.

If it was a turbo diesel V10 that you ran, its not discontinued, its actually one of the new 2005 engines available in a touareg. They have 310HP and 550TQ stock. Turbo diesels are pretty damn easy to gain pretty damn good HP results and massive TQ results by using jsut a chip. Usually with a gas engine you can expect like 10-40 hp or so with a chip depending on the car and a few other factors, well, with a farely large diesel engine you can usually expect gains of somewhere in the neighborhood of 100RWHP and 2-300rwtq depending on the vehicle and other things such as other mods.

My dad used to have a 2002 GMC 2500 with a duramax turbo V8 diesel in it and he had nothing more than a chip and let the dude at the local dyno play with it for a few mins and he went from somthing like 275RWHP and 400RWTQ to about 375RWHP and 650RWTQ... it pulled thwe trailor pretty damn good lol. So it wouldnt suprise me if those **** douchebags had about 40psi and a chip and some other farely major supporting mods and made well over 800hp and 1000tq.

WOW this makes a HUGE difference

the pic really sealed the deal for me, at first i was inclined to believe because you'd have to be one hell of a psycho to be able to fabricate an intricate story about ***** in sports utility vehicles beating an 488whp rx7.

and how on earth did they make such a fast e46? e46s need serious money to make power, they barely break 50hp over stock 99% of the time because theres no room for a seriously big turbo, now e36's on the other hand make big power all the time.
