I don't think you should worry about fancy stuff. It could allways be enhanced with an update or new version. Those basic boxes look fine. You could allways choose a highlight color or change the color of the arrow icon to like red maybe when highlighted. Most important thing is no bugs that could comprimise tuning and a working version as soon as possible.

also... when using the FC Commander Pro with FC Tune... How does one log AFR with a wideband like the LC-1? Does the FC Tune allow simultaneous connection at both COM ports (i.e. COM 1 for PowerFC and COM 2 for LC-1 signal)?

Innovate SDK
The Innovate MTS (Modular Tuning System) SDK (Software Developer's Kit) is released. This kit makes it easy for Window's programmers to input data from Innovate products directly into your application. The SDK "hides" the complexity of the MTS serial protocol, allows you to write device-independent programs, be future-device compatible, and work seamlessly with LogWorks 2. Download here.
If you make or support any ECU-tuning software, piggy-back, chip-tuner, or data logger, and you want real-time wideband input (multiple AFR, EGT, MAP, etc.), consider utilizing this powerful and simple SDK. Simply: 1. Install LogWorks 2.01 (or newer) if not already installed; 2. Unzip SDKSetup.exe; and 3. Run "SDKSetup.exe". A new program group folder called “MTS SDK” is added to the LogWorks2 program group. It has a link for the documentation, a link for browsing the folder, and a link for running the sample app.

Also, if there are people using the Datalogit w/ PC "and w/ Commander" unplugging
the Commander would be better. The commander sends a data req packet to the PowerFC and the Software on the pc (i.e. FC-TUNE) is probably doing the same thing. This means that the FC-TUNE cannot use that time to retrive information from the PowerFC which result in a lost packet (may I call it a leaner log??^^). Someone correct me if i'm wrong.
Fasthatch, you are a LEGEND! I started reading about this ages back, I was impressed then but absolutely blown away now. Like a lot of the guys here, I'm from an I.T. background and can fully appreciate the time, effort and patience required to accomplish such a mammoth task. On behalf of everyone on irishrotary.com and car owners the world over, I thank you.

Not that an exciting feature but in the next version the memo of the DAT/HDX/HD1 files can be edited:

(Above memo is for HDX/HD1 only)
FastHatch, I think I've read that the FC-TUNE will have the feature that auto-tune the INJ MAP with wideband O2 sensor & with target AFR map.
Howabout auto-tune IGN MAP? One can preset the maximum Knock level and if the knock reading from PowerFC is greater than the preset maximum, it will pull back a certain degree from the IGN MAP.
OR, am I asking too much?
p.s. I cannot wait for the release. (Since I bought a new engine and need to map it with new cam and head gasket and intercooler...etc)

What is the latest beta version now? and does it support the nissan RB25DET yet?
Also I want to say this project looks awsome! I'm sure if you opened up a paypal account for people who want to donate money to help you out for your time, you would get more then you expect

On some Win95/Win98 systems you may get the message "mfc42u.dll not found", just copy the dll into the app folder in that case. Also Unicode is not supported on Win95A without the unicode layer, in that case you might want to update your 10 years old OS

FastHatch, did you think about having something like this:

I can help you with coding if needed...

I also intend to release several parts of the source of FC Tune. The non-PFC specific parts probably beginning end of June. Most of the non user interface sources compile also under Linux and MacOS, so monitoring/logging could also be realized under those OSes, but I won't invest any time into a complete port.
Are you looking for an in car or laptop solution?
I'm confused here. Your app is not .NET?
I'm planning on using it in-car. On CarPC.
During design it should be considered that this will be 7" touch-screen(800x480). App will run in full screen mode (no title bar, etc..)
Yes. If you add ability for .NET plug-in that would be great. Also, having command line switch for FC-Edit to open "monitoring" screen upon startup and start displaying would be great.
The idea is to have "front end" application with music, navigation, radio and Datalogit. By pushing button - full screen app opens up and shows readings.
Driver can switch to that screen while drivig with 1 button and immediately see data.
