It is active, if you are talking about the yahoo RX7 tuning group. I am a member. PM Raymond (arghx) on this forum, is who heads the group. If you are talking about the yahoo Datalogit group, I have no idea if it is active.

I bought a new power fc from rx7.com back in 2014 but only now getting around to installing it. I know the software is old. I've emailed ppl to get on the yahoo group but to no success. Do you even need to be on there to get the latest software. What is the latest now? Forgive me if it was a few posts back. I will check.

I guess you're having this same error I get, isn'it ?



It's because, if I understood it well, this file is just an update, and you should have the original software installed from the original CD first.

I`ve got a new PowerFC with a new firmware on it (version 6.01) and my version of datalogit software (mine is 2.232t) is unable to work with it. So I dropped several mails to datalogit asking for support as mentioned on there site and guess what, no reply and no message at all.
Is anyone aware of what is going on with datalogit team? If they are out of business, you might consider that before spending 300USD for it. I have mailed them several times (to Steven, Alice and Glen) from different email accounts to overcome some possible spam filter issues, no feedback at all!
If someone can assist me with a newer version of datalogit software which I can try on the new firmware, that would be very much appreciated!

I'd return or sell the DL and get FC-Tweak with the new DL-340XL by @Xavier Borg instead. It works with newer PFCs and opens expansion capabilities for the future if desired.

Thanks for your feedback and recommendation, however, I have no trust in Facebook and sells over there. Seems to end-up the same way as Datalogit by simply removing the Facebook profile or support.
Also, I will never use Facebook or any Meta related services, which automatically excludes me. Very fair in a so called free world, but this is a different story.

 

As far as I know it appears that support for the original Datalogit is sadly no longer available so the DL-340XL is a great option.
I understand the mistrust of Facebook stores but @Xavier Borg has provided excellent service and products and is available in this forum, via email and Google Groups for support.
You can check in the PFC-DL-tuning Google Group, in this forum and several RX-7 FB groups and find out more and get people's feedback.

Honestly speaking, I was able to setup up the new PFC with original Apexi FC-Edit software (as I`m fluent in Japanese), so I`m not totally lost by having other options to tune pfc, just wondering what happened to datalogit and if any support can be expected. Seems not good at this stage for datalogit and anyone whom is interested should consider this by keeping 300USD for better spendings ....

we have found that we need to switch between 2 different versions of fc edit to connect to the power fc. it just depends on the car but 99% of the time we are successful with the older version of the software. i can check the tuning laptop tomorrow for the version. the latest version (the one you are trying to use) may have worked on 1 or 2 occasions for us.

 

I purchased and also recommend FC tweak, even without the handheld the software is amazing, Depending on the version you get it has auto tuning as well. I have asked Xavier tons of questions and he is super knowledgeable and always responds. It scans through your entire tune and adjusts according to your modifications.
