Here are 2 logfiles taken from the same RX7, using the same Innovate WBO2, before (using the Datalogit box) and after (using the new DL-340XB PFC interface). The DL-340XB internal noise filter drastically reduces the WBO2 signal noise, resulting in a more accurate tune.

Can you change the filtering. Understandable you want filtered signal for closed loop or map learning but if you are trying to identify a miss you want the noise.

 

The noise filtering bandwidth is more than enough enough to let pass ALL the real wideband O2 sensor signals, it just stops very high frequency electrical noise (such as ignition noise) which would otherwise reduce the WBO2 signal to noise ratio. In fact it becomes much easier than ever to identify a miss or a lean instance during tip in.

 

A new software version v4.0 for the DL-340XB interface is now online. This makes the DL-340XB able to perform any kind of tuning work required on your ECU map. Basically, you can download, upload, manually edit, unlock maps, perform data logging, watch all or specific data channels while logging, easily select your WBO2 kit from a built in list, real time data monitoring, and playback log files in graphical mode against time.

The new version features a manual advanced file editor/viewer which can also be accessed off-line (no need to have the interface connected).


Manual editing is meant for advance users only, but it's a required function when one wants to create a starting map for a new build with aftermarket injectors or aftermarket boost sensor. Unlike older PFC editing software, PFC-Connect checks that every entry is within the PFC's internal limits and will clip any nonsensical entries to such limits. Unlike the FC-Commander, it also enables you to edit the IGL map, while protecting the split value, and you can also directly edit the split timing values.

 

first and most surprising thing with the DL-340 is that when you hit C to connect, its connected just like that. no waiting, no futzing with drivers, it just works.
second is that the ability to play back a run is huge.
third, i'm only 90% tuned on the Dl340, but the car drives better than when it was 90% tuned on the old datlogit box. i would imagine that this is the better 02 sensor signal quality.
and four, the o2 sensor really couldn't have been easier to wire and set up.

so its still early days, but i'm really happy with it so far.

PFC-Connect Version 5.8, for the new DL-340XB PFC interface has now got a real time knock alert function on the data logging screen.

When 'knock alert' is enabled, high knock cells are highlighted in red, and the max knock value is printed on those particular cells. This makes the high knock cells immediately visible, and you do not have to look at all cells searching for the highest numbers!

With the alert option enabled, a voice warning is also sounded each time a high knock is detected, so you do not even have to look at the screen while road tuning.


Datalogger knock threshold can be set from the program preferences.
