1977 mazda 808 sedan

Hey hows it going .
Since the repu is pretty much done i decided to start on my sedan making it how i want it .
Long story short i brought this 808 off a elderly lady in ohope (new zealand) only by chance as i left a note on her windsheild with my mums home address as i was still at school, anyways i had just started my apprenticeship and she called my mum and said she wants to sell me the sedan she had owned it since new .
I gave her $900 and it was mine .
It sat in the shed for 6months then i had the opportunity to buy my repu so i sold the 808 to pay for the shipping of the repu ( i regretted selling the 808)
Fast forward 9 years or so i was in the middle of the dessert of western Australia working on a remote construction site i was looking on Trademe (nzs version of ebay) and seen a sedan very similar to my old one but had been converted to rx3 and had a 13bt now and 17" wheels .
Turns out it still had the black plates IF1812 plates i had on it .
So i emailed the owner said hey i used to own the 808 and id like to buy it back turns out the guy i sold it to still owned it so a deal was made and i had a couple mates in nz go pick it up and pay for it , i wouldnt drive it for another 6months when i finished the job n fly back to nz .

So basically i changed everything that had been done trying to make a bullet proof driveline and have fun on 1/4 mile .

The stats are .
A fresh 13b street port all new seals ect based on s4 block.
14lb flywheel and exedy 5 puck clutch .
Brand new gen 4 toyota R154 supra box with billet selectors and green brothers racing adaptor plate to fc bell housing .
It will have a 3" drive shaft yet to make .
9" alloy yukon head with 4.6:1 full spool 31 spline moser axles s13 silvia rear discs n calipers b&m line locker. Hawk pads front n back
Caltrac bars
Front suspension is xyz is adjustable struts and camber plates on s1 rx7 struts n brakes 24mm rx2 swaybar alloy rca's .
Custom cooling system by green brothers new griffin rad, oil cooler and intercooler with a slim spal fan .
Had to use a billet promaz water pump due to no room .
Fuel system got upgraded as well new fuel rails with 1680cc injectors as secondarys 900s as primarys tomi fpr dash 6 push lock fittings from fragola and Bosch 044 main pump with carter lift pump 3l surge tank custom 3mm alloy tank to be fabbed .
Also 3mm catch cans fabbed up and water methanol set up (future proofing)
Borg warner 300sx 60mm turbo gfb 50mm wastegate 50mm tial bov 2.5" plumbing rotary works 80mm throttle body
Custom made turbo manifold shedule 40 s/s .
Vband set up welded to exhaust housing got rid of the marmon set up .
4" s/s drag exhaust and a full s/s street system will be made have most parts .
Link g4rx will control it all and autometer guages to keep the vitals in check .
16" simmons b45s fit real well .
Heaps more stuff i cant think of right now but its been a long time off the road look forward to it running .

Very cool. That thing is going to be a rocket and sound awesome.

Wonder if you can use a similar setup for a REPU.

Speaking of REPU, you have any recent pics of it?

its not too bad but im going to build a street port for it as id use it way more if it was quite and more economical on fuel plus need to build a LSD diff and change gearbox so it will probably happen after the sedan is done .
Ive done a few miles with the pp has never let me down .

So a few years later shes all done and tuned made 410hp on 14psi .
end up putting a link g4+ extreme and a blackbox p12 pdm and a microtech dash along with a heap of sensors .
the fuel system is a dead head and works well.
she goes well need to get some new softer tyres thats forsure .

808s still going good feels like it needs some more boost I feel haha 😄 and go back to the 1/4 mile and see if I can better the current pb of 11.5 @ 119mph .
cars all legal for nz roads so that's good haha .
I got a hood off a friend for some jack Daniel's and it had a hole in it for a k&n Ida filter so i made a plate to mount a filter on they nearly let me race in the N/A class at the rotary only drags a few years back .
put a bigger filter on so had to make that fit and remount the water meth spray nozzle.
Also had a hardline fail on a 3hr drive up to the race track luckily I had a friend not too far away and he had a ptfe line in -6 that was already made and ready to use.
ive since made all new ptfe lines for in the trunk .
the repu has finally died after like 16 years of service so guna build a 13b street port for it and just use it for crusing.
