VA Spitfire 1500 13BT Build

I figured it's finally time to share my current project as a get ready to shift towards plumbing and wiring the engine. If y'all want to see more then just setting up a Turbo II in tiny British sportscar let me know. Currently working on fitting Miata rear suspension and BMW 188L to the rear, while I wait for Turblown's FC3S to FD LIM. While 12A's are relatively common place in a spitfire with almost no cutting, 13B aren't and turbos are no existent for a couple of reasons that quickly stacked up. So far to be happy with engine placement I've had to do the following below.
  • Notch the frame for: front of the oil pan, Starter, downpipe, coolant drain bolt and VSS(Honda passport)
  • 12A front cover as the frame rails are only a inch wider then the keg
  • Shorten the shifter by ~6" so it not in my hip
  • Notched and welded the T2 bellhousing to: Clear the down pipe and a clocked starter. Turbo starter solenoid would eat what's left of the drivers side frame rail.
  • Designed and ordered a 3d printed 316L Stainless steel twin scroll turbo manifold for a IWG EFR7670. Almost no room for a turbo yet alone wastegates with suspension in the way. Turblowns LIM gave me room of a turbo almost gave up.
  • Reworked the firewall for the turbo and oil filter.
There's a still a lot of work left to go but engine wise I believe I've gotten over all the hurdles. Plumbing seems manage able with a multi-generational stack IE FB radiator, FC oil cooler and a FD front mount. Still need to finish the design for the 12A style cover if i were to go with aluminum sheet metal how thick would it have to be?

Why would a 13B be any more difficult to mount than a 12A? They are the same dimensions just the 13B is two centimeters longer.

Use a 12A front cover. I wouldn't go making a front cover as one of the oil pressure regulators lives in the stock cover. Not saying its impossible to make one, just seems like an unnecessary challenge.

I've made a lot of progress since the first post. Not sure why my post lagged by weeks and the forum was fighting me when I was trying to make a detailed post and made something quick.

It not the 13B per say its the Turbo II transmission girth, added width from a turbo, and tacking on a intercooler in a tiny engine bay. The main probblem between the 13B and Turbo II was the starter clocking which would have eat the whole driver frame rail. Ended up chopping and rotating a spare starter to the NA position. The notches in the frame and cuts into the transmission took a lot of time to open up slowly. Then Miata Suspension and tires are nearly 3" wider then stock. I'm very thankful the TurBlown FC to FD LIM gained me around 2" room. Lately I've been building the front and rear suspension which was already a nightmare on the software side to play nice and fit under stock fenders. Making the rear suspension work effectively with out chewing into the gas tank has the been the death on me lately but I think I'm finally on top of it after many iterations of shock placement.
