what did you do to your rx7 today
Got quite a bit done today. The new clutch master is in, slave mounted, release bearing in and greased, trans and motor together, motor and trans mounted in the car, filled the motor with 20w50, and put on a new filter. Right now I'm cleaning up the water pump housing using electrolysis and painting the water pump and thermostat housing. Gotta get an early start tomorrow if I wanna hear the wonderful music that is a running rotary.
Double wammy battery dead in fd and fc. Fd the hatch didnt shut all the way and battery drained... Then was having problem in fc with draining battery s5 alternator i had the wires backwards creating a draw when the cars off. Fixed the wires also installed battery tie down
I got the sub install pretty close to done, check my thread in non-technical for pics if you want to see
Still trying to get my FB running so I can tear the T2 down. I'm gonna get spark plugs and drain rest of the old gas out, chage the oil.
I did however, tint the side markers and turn signals of the T2, It was raining I was board, had a can of night shades, and a covered porch. eventually I'm gonna do the tails then paint them with this metal flate gun metal gray I have. I like the smoked side markers. I'm only gonna do a light coat on the tails, I dont want them blacked out just tinted.

I put in some purple things.

Stock:

Purple things added a little: (pre-alignment)

Still need to set the bump steer, some more negative camber, and get more angle in general. :-[ Modding knuckle soon.

Not sure if he makes them any more. I think they are basically super*now copies. *shrug* I had them for like 3 years before I put them on.

Um, how badly.... O.o ? Am I missing something here?
Do you know how the front suspension works? If not it's ok, you can alter your toe in and out by turning the tierod.
Like this for example: (not a rx7)

Maybe there is some confusion. The tierod end wasn't what gave me the extra angle, that is for bump steer correction. The Tierod with the built in spacer is what allows the rack to travel further.

Sorry for the BAD mspaint example, but it will work. (you must be logged in to see it)

With the stock one, the balljoint hits the outside of the steering rack and is stopped there. A new one, or if you put a spacer that fits inside the middle of the rack on a stock balljoint, will allows the rack to move further in before being stopped by the balljoint. Now since you rack can move (random number) 13.5 inches to the left instead of 13 you get that much more angle.
Get it now?

DROVE my 91 for the first time today.
It has not been on the road since 2004. Kind of exciting..
l Still need to;
change out the transmission (no r.),
Put in manual steering rack,
Swap Diffy to Clutch LSD,
New brake master cylander.
It has been a long battle getting this one going, but I can finnally see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Who knows it might even be at the next OR meet.

Bought some cool parts for my new project and a new catback for my car.
For the track car:
Scoot hood.
Greddy Ti (already had).
Vmount core
For the DD:
Racing beat dual tip. Best part is I spent under $1k on everything. God I  craigslist.
