what did you do to your rx7 today
worked on the drivers side tail light, for my up and coming project, and rewired the 2gcdfis in the FB. I got a few hickups and some smoke (from oil in combustion chanber) so looks promising! Recharging the battery, and changing the plugs should fire it up. I'm so excited to be back in the FB, and to be tearing into the T2 for some repairs and new mods.
got it to run.... but it dies soon as it get any of the gas from the carb. drained it and charging the battery this time. put a few new gallons of gas. hopfully she'll stay running now. neighbors arn't happy, really who the ***** running a god damb chainsaw at 11:30 at night?
It runs and drives!!!! Multi color pimpin yeah. loud as **** yeah, wonder steer hell yeah. but what ever it runs. needs some work but easy stuff. Tearing into the T2 this week!!!!!!!
Now I just need someone to "rent" me a room outside DEQ
. any voluteers. Just need your address. keep an FB on the road. Its really simple. requires no work on your part, just permisson to use it is all I need.

Picked up a 3/4h bench grinder and polishing stuff from Eastwood. Polished up a couple pcs while things are still apart and the little girl is napping. Not bad for first try. Before and after.
well. lastnight waterpump crapped out. found out around 9:30pm when my drivway was soaked. bought a new pump and gasket and went to town on it till 1:30. went to bed. got up at 5 and went to work. :/ i gues i was too tired to tighten my fan down evenly so the whole car now vibrates horribly haha
Opened the door, sat in it, wondered if it would start to get to school, started my journey. Picked up the girlfriend, but difficulties there too. Lock wouldnt open from the inside, had to shut car off in fear of it not starting back up, had to go to passenger side to unlock it and ended up pounding my fist around the lock, then having to rip the door open as it was frozen shut (gotta love northern indiana weather). Proceeded to get back in car, start up, then leave.
Every day is a new adventure with our car, and it's always interesting to say the least lol. yesterday i ran my optima dead by leaving the primary lights on all day while in school.
Also today i might try to get the corksport on, although it's going to require cutting, welding, and bolting thanks to the previous owners brilliant fix to the exhaust.
Been having to manufacture a new flange to weld to old pipe so the corksport will bolt up in machine shop.
What lies tomorrow? who the hell knows...

i got my output shaft seal from Mazda finally. time to put it in and finally get the rear subframe and suspension put back together. it might be driveable by tomorrow afternoon. 1 week to test drive and work out the kinks before PARC on the 28th.
I went and played. Got sideways and did a few donuts on a dead end road with no houses / traffic / anything but a grass field. good practice. was going to do a tail light but it wont stop freakin' raining.

Drove my 91 about 10 miles to get gas. The first time in YEARS it has been on public roads!
Still have a few bugs I need to work out.
Like the speedo not working. YIKES! No officer I had no idea I was going 90......

Well I got motivated today and fitted a wide-band O2 sensor and data-logger to my old 12a series 1, its running very well but I want to open up the venturis in the carb to see if I can squeeze a bit more out of it so I thought I would do some data logging before modifying it, Hoping to beat my pb of 14.5 seconds at the next drag meet so with any luck Ill do just that! Also did some runs with the Gtech early this morning to get a reference before starting carb mods.

Fixed the slow and not really working electric windows and sunroof.
I started by removing the switches and cleaning all the black grease off of them, then scuffing the contact points with emery cloth, then regreasing them with dielectric grease.
After that I cleaned all the tracks and re greased with white lithium grease.
They work like a champ now.

got off my *** and fixed my droopy s4 lip. also finished the hood strut project i've been playing around with, and rain-x'd the windows in preparation for the rain around the corner his weekend
i caught another squirrel and built a little box for him to live in and put the box ontop of an 02 kia tranny thats sitting next to my 7 in the garage. and then i played with my ratties and set their cage on the roof of my 7. then looked at the 2 halves of the 7 1/2 gallon keg that i cut in half and polished the inside to turn it into a fuel tank for the car once i get really crazy with the motor. o, then i asked it to be nice to me and let it get finished so i can drive it and put the neon in the garage so i can figure out why its using oil AND coolant. o and because i LOVE MY 7

Gave my FB a quick little scrubbin' and a vacuuming so she was as clean as a resort hotel (the good kind!), and then I installed good plastics on those body vents behind the windows.
