dude its just the internet, calm down. seriously. if you get a hard on from banning people then go ban the ******** that actually do something bad. the only reason this all arose was cause two parties engaged in a transaction, the transaction with sour, one of the parties informed the forum for some unknown reason. the forum isnt responsible for bad finacial transactions. then because of all of this you guys order joe to stop selling because something not involving the forum happened. then he gets attacked for just tryin to make some money. jesus, you must not own an rx7 or you would know that us guys with the 1st and 2nd gens are ******* BROKE!!! if we need something for our cars we usually sell some of our "overstock" to buy the part. as all of us know joe has been busting his *** to finish the car in this thread. but now we have to be part of two separate forums to see this thing get finished.

now like ive seen on here multiple times the senior member was favored. its the way it always works out.

you guys seem to ban the wrong people. when i got ripped off earlier this year nothing happened. well besides a mod took my post out of the guys FS ad and made a thread in the bad members section. nobody offered me help, i called the ****** over and over, got the same sob story, tried calling paypal, that didnt work. then i came back on here and looked and the ****** was still selling ****!! and in one thread 4 people claimed to be ripped off. but to this day the guy is still able to ******* sell his garbage on here.

and i dont care if i get banned for running my mouth, this kinda **** just pisses me off.

but the ban on joe hits us all quite hard here in the NW section. he was a huge part of the rotary scene since ive been in it. and prolly one of the nicest guys ever. the fist time i met him he had a suburban filled with parts. he gave me the piece i was after then just started offering me every other part he had in there. for free. not only did you ban someone, but you really took him outta our "family" here in the NW. THANKS!!!!!!!!

 

How convenient--you ignore the fact that joe spent much of the last two weeks running his mouth, insulting people at will, and cursing out moderators that didnt even do anything wrong in the first place....and yet, youre telling ME to calm down.

um, "dude", you dont have the first clue about me. You dont know the time and money I have spent, tracking down scammers and not only banning them, but actually getting money refunded to people who got screwed. I dont get paid for this, and I have spent hundreds of dollars to have access to data that helps out people on this forum. Watch who you talk to--you dont have the first friggin clue, so lets stop pretending that you do. Your friend not only refused to follow the directions of the moderating staff, but also went back on his own word in the process. Whether you like it or not, he didnt leave us much of an option.


Like I said, you dont have the first friggin clue. This all started because of something completely different--it had nothing to do with me, and it had nothing to do with his deal with Bob--nothing at all. The entire reason he was no longer allowed to sell here had nothing to do with his deal with Bob either. So, unless you actually know what youre talking about, youre not in a position to talk about it at all.


Go read your TOS sometime--you dont get to decide what this forum does and does not pay attention to.


Once again, that has nothing to do at all with why he isnt allowed to sell on here. He was given two options--one of them meant he could no longer sell here, and the other one would have allowed him to continue selling--it was JOE HIMSELF that, in his own words, said he would stop selling here and stick to craigslist instead. HE WAS GIVEN THE CHOICE, AND HE MADE IT. Stop crying about it already. And the worst part of this is that it had nothing at all to do with his deal with Bob.....like I said, you dont know at all what even happened, so why are you arguing about it to begin with?


Nope, he got banned because he was given a choice. He chose of his own free will not to do the things that would have allowed him to continue selling here. And then he kept selling here anyways. He was NOT "attacked". He was repeatedly warned about the rules that he agreed to follow. Now, maybe its just me, but if you could exercise a little honesty, you would know that after having to warn someone three times, that the warning isnt a strong enough response.

Thats funny....I've been an FC owner since 2001 or so, and I'm not broke. If you are, perhaps you should stop equating that to your car and start changing your circumstances. Look, broke or not, the rules here exist to be followed. It isnt my fault that he constantly chose not to follow them. And also whether you like it or not, some of us actually have to run this place.

This isnt about seniority....it never is for me. It is about who owes who. And by Joe's own words, he admitted that he owed the money back. And that is where the discussion of that deal ends.

Allow me to help you out a bit here.....

I work more than full time. I have a wife and children. I am very involved with my family. I play in a band. I have a TON of things going on in my life. Simply put, it is entirely possible that you posted something and I didnt see it. Do you think that moderators live on the forum????? If you needed help, you could have always sent one of us a PM....how do you think I ended up getting involved in this whole mess with Joe?? If someone scammed you, there is NO WAY that I would have known about it and ignored it--dealing with scammers is what I do. If youre interested, I would happily look into your situation....but you cannot expect that I will see every thread that ever gets posted. We dont get paid to moderate this forum.....and we all have lives too. In addition to these other things that you now know about, I also have a rare Thunderbird that needs care, several remodeling projects on my house, and the list goes on and on. Dont mistake the chance that I didnt see your thread with "the moderators ban the wrong people". If you need something, STEP UP AND ASK FOR HELP. SPEAK UP LIKE A MAN. Dont sit back and wait for the world to come to you!



Well, its really funny, because youre pissed off without even knowing the first thing about what has happened with Joe. Perhaps next time, instead of blindly siding with your friend, you could at least have the decency to consider the fact that the rules here exist for a reason. Think about this now--there were no less than FOUR moderators that were all involved to some extent with these recent events surrounding Joe. I suppose you think that we all just ganged up on him, and decided to mess with him?? Dude, get real already. Look, bottom line, this is not a democracy. It is also not a place where you can come and do whatever you please, and expect no consequence for it. Read the forum rules in the FAQ. By all rights, you could have been banned for this post.....I dont run around banning people just to do it. This is the same reason why it took several times of not giving a damn before Joe got his walking papers. I didnt want to ban him. But if you show that you dont give a damn, why should I? THINK ABOUT IT. And this is the only warning I will give you--if you do not know what the hell took place, dont speak about it and make accusations against me or anyone else on the moderating staff. Otherwise, you WILL find yourself removed from here. I hardly think that I am asking too much from you.


wow....first, lets think about this for a minute. As a staff, we have to run this forum. And youre actually pissed at me because he constantly chose to break the rules. You JUST got done telling me that youre on another forum where he is....so I didnt take a DAMN THING away from you. Second, does the fact that he has helped people entitle him to treat other people like crap? Sorry, no dice there either. He was asked by a moderator not to post FS threads. The way he has talked to people has been at times INEXCUSEABLE. And yet he STILL wasnt banned because of what he does for this section and its members. His ban came when he had shown several times that he simply doesnt care. IF YOU REALLY CARE ABOUT THIS "FAMILY", then STOP BLINDLY ARGUING FOR JOE WHEN YOU DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT THE HELL HAS HAPPENED.

Third, moderator decisions are NOT SUBJECT TO DEBATE. They do NOT NEED YOUR APPROVAL. If you choose to continue this path, youre gonna be outta here too.

Finally, he's been banned for a WEEK. A WEEK, DUDE....and youre whining and crying like I sent him into exile for FIFTY YEARS. If you REALLY cannot live without him being here for seven days, then dude, youve got problems!

This discussion is over. Even though I dont have to explain these things to you, I have done so, so that you can maybe understand that you dont know what has happened here. If you make it necessary to explain things again, you will be sent packing, and this time it will NOT be a seven day vacation. Believe that.

 

No, that's not it at all. Suffice to say, there is much more than that. All the attempts to continue selling here after he said he wouldn't were a pretty big part of it also. Joe himself said he'd stick to craigslist and the locals since his stuff sold so well.

Nonetheless, that's all I'm going to say. You don't see everything that has gone on, you don't see the PM's, you don't see the posts that get deleted for trash talking about what happened. I'm quite hurt because of the sig thing in particular. Those three threads he linked in there were to the dread RCC website! C'mon, maihn...that ain't even close to being right.

Quite frankly, I'm not sure why rollr feels this whole affair isn't grounds for a permaban since betrayal of trust has also been a sticking point. We had an agreement, he broke it. Dang.....enough. Y'all got Joe to talk and deal with in your regional scene, in craigslist, on eBay and on phone.

You just won't have him here on RX-7 Club anymore. He betrayed the trust, he refuses over and over to do the right thing.
