well i ordered the G-Force kit today, i decided i liked the front end and the rear bumper the best in the application i am going.. So now i am just shy of a couple other parts to have this (besides paint) done and on the road.. I have decided to take my time for a while and make sure these parts are done right. I have also decided NOT to go with a molded body.

I did however get the correct cluster surround for it, i found that they DIDNT have the cruise option in japan so i found a s4 and s5 rhd set on ebay of all places! got a bunch of other extra rhd parts from him as well for "just in case" purposes. Its awesome cause not only is it right, but i found the turn signals are not interchangeable really. I knew i had to switch all the switches over to the other side, but i didnt think the mounting points were diff, just thought i would need to flip the wiring plugs.. not so much..

I also got a cat back exhaust to use for now as i have went with the kit i did i am going to run a apexi dual instead of a single..

So its coming along slowly but surely!!! Pics later when get batterys...

 

Well i got the engine bay done today.. The pics are not the best, and its still taped up (detaped now, and looks even better, but my camera batterys died again)..

I know alot of you wont like a white bay, but i am OCD with my cars, and trust me, it will stay clean I gave up on the idea of the underside being white and went black with it and the wheel wells to give it some contrast when i get the white wheels in for it and cause i dont think i will ever clean it up under there

I am expecting the GP sports kit to be here on friday and i will be getting started on it. Till then i am putting straight doors on since the "door cards" are only the panels... It will only need my finishing touch with the body work and then its off the the (ALREADY PAID!!!!) body shop for a pro paint job!!! YEAYA!!!!

I am so excited, i get to put the engine parts on this week as well, minus the fuel rails, injectors, fmic piping and tps... Also still need the DP and mid pipe for now, but those will come later

So its getting there!!

 

how F**king annoying!!!! So the "door cards" also know and SHOULD ONLY BE CALLED: DOOR PANELS, are exactly the ******* same on a rhd as they are on a lhd.. So what the **** is the point?? The only difference i can see after spending all day taking four doors down and getting ready to swap parts is the crash bars are smaller, the lens's dont say DOT and the glass is not ppg but a different company but still are marked with DOT approved.. So WTF??? the wiring is the same, the motors are the same, there is no ******* difference.. The switch is reversed for the windows, but anyone who can work a screwdriver can take the switch apart and swap the toggles and have it reversed... So really why have so many people told me they are different??

The ONLY reason this build has been hard is because of liars and people who spout out **** that they do not actually know anything about.. gggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The car was hit and the guy lied about it (hit twice, my bad for taking his word and not looking over every inch).... The damn s4 interior is NOT interchangeable with the S5 no matter how many people have told me it is.... Crap like that...

marc i have a feeling i will be bringing you this car in hopes you and your real knowledge can help me work out the bugs i know i am going to have when i try to start this thing.I listened to most of the same people when installing the wiring and i have a feeling like all that has been done, it will be needing to be done again....

 

Didn't I tell you the interiors were different? The biggest differences I know of are the A pillars, and then the plastics under the B pillars, then the rear carpet and how it has the attachments on either side of the hatch.

 

yeah but that was after i got all the wrong info about the interiors... I knew it was commin at that point.. Just venting about how difficult this build is cause when i started looking into it i got bad info and i am still dealing with the crap from that.. Should have just started with a S5 car :-\ live and learn.. But i have put the s4 parts dyed black in and now i just need the doors.....

I ordered the one like on the black car.. and look what i got... Still talking with the company about their **** up.. will see how that goes... i just want the kit i ordered. ugh

I called and said wrong one, they sent back the pic of the black one and said "this is the kit that we are selling and the same one as in the pictures you sent me"... uuuuurrrrrgggggg!!!!!!! So its looking like i may have to go through some BS to get this fixed... Lame

well they decided to tell me that i am wrong no matter how many pics i send them of the kits being different, they still say its the same kit.. Ugh.. I quit... So looks like this is my body kit as they want me to spend 200.00 to ship it back to get my 600.00 for the kit back... **** that..

However in some other good news i am going to be getting the rims for it soon..

I should be getting to putting the kit on and doing the body work on it in the next week or so (feelin real crappy atm, so i am not lookin to do anything atm) but i am hoping that i can get it done soon though!!, i'll post up pics as soon as it gets done!

 

Well you could always call up Visa/MC and tell them to refund you? [Or threaten the body kit CO with this?]

i did,they said i have to show that i have sent it back (cost me 200 to ship it back) and i will not get the money for shipping it back.. Its a loose loose situation for me Screw it, i will rock this kit, it was after all my 2nd choice :-\

Carbon creations. And the kits quality is exellent, its not a bad product, its just not the one i ordered. And after a long day of pretty much having to attack and threaten them about this i was offered 150.00 back to replace the front bumper as its the only part of the kit that is different... So i am actually content with it now, it makes me have a kit i like at a price i can agree with and make me closer to getting the rims for it So all is well and i hope to get started on it soon!!

 

got a new exhaust for it, cant wait to post pics of it for you all! Its worthy!

its really amusing when people do these projects to be different. i cant count how many times people have made smart *** remarks to me about how i used to drive on the "left side" of the road and how stupid it is lol... dumb ***'s i remember when i first started driving here i made some major f@#k ups going down the wrong side its intersting when 2 sets of head lights are coming at ya lol..

lol, yeah i couldnt drive in those places i am sure, i would make an *** out of myself and put people at risk, so i stay here.. You ever seen that new truckers show (replaced ice road truckers, now they are in india) on the history channel? Crazy ****!

But yeah, i am not doing it to "be different", i am doing it cause i think it would be a kick as novelty (and what else is a rotary) and it is fun trying to put together a car that is full of rare parts, digital logi,2+2,rhd,cargo cover,s4's5 hybrid,custom engine,ect... Its a challenge and i like it But yeah, i do get a small kick out of the little things like, driving backwards through mcdonalds, pulling up next to a cop and being "right" next to him (lots of 1 ways in corvallis ) having the only one in town,ect.. But thats not the drive, the drive, is to drive it

speaking of, i am hoping to get the t2 swap i have sold here soon and get the rims, and roof spoiler... So if anyone knows someone who wants a complete S4 turbo swap....

Joe got banned because he repeatedly refused to follow the rules here. He was advised by a moderator that he could no longer sell items here. He then tried to sell them on the regional forums. He was then told not to do that. He then resorted to creating a new account and immediately posting for sale items. When THAT was stopped, he then decided to list items for sale in his sig. He was not banned because of anything involving another member. His ban is also not permanent. And I will say this--I cut him a LOT of slack....where someone else had been banned for one comment that broke the rules, he continued to post those kinds of comments and didnt get banned for it. he was given a LOT of room, and in the end, he still made his choice. I dont have any desire to see him gone from this forum, but the rules are here to be followed, and if anyone decides that they cannot do that, then we will do what needs to be done.
