Helllppp!!!!!

My RX8 just did something that really scared me and I need to know how to fix it!

So earlier today it was misfiring or something around 5000rpms, the power would just drop like you were shifting or something and then pick back up but it shouldn't be doing that.

Then just now as I'm driving home coasting down a hill the engine decides to shut off, I started it back up but now there's a strange ticking sound coming from the engine that I don't remember being there before.

Did the engine just blow up? That's ok because it's still under warranty But if not then what is wrong with my baby?

Agreed. You may have towing through them possibly as well under that warranty. Look into it, get it there, and get it thoroughly fixed.

Yeah, you have a warrenty so you DON'T have to worry about stuff like this. When you drop it off make sure you get a free loaner car.

I only have the extended warranty (that covers the engine only) so I need to make sure it's the engine before I take it in otherwise they will charge me some ridiculous amount for nothing. I'm having someone I trust look at it today.

On one hand I hope it's the engine so I can get a new one, on the other...I just hope it's the engine

Take a mechanics stethescope to the rotor housing and listen for the tick. If it is in the motor you'll here it... Does the warranty cover the long block or just the keg?
