ON Need some insitght

Ok so I have an 82 RX7 12A 5speed. Looks like the rats nest, air pump, and ac has been removed. I have fixed some wiring going to the starter and to the fuel pump I can get the car to turn over and if i put gas down the carb ( 4 barrel NIKKI ) It will run untill all the fuel is used up in the bowls. I don't know what to do from here could it be the float level, jets plugged ?

I'm not a carb person, but are you sure that fuel is actually being fed to the bowls? The fuel pump should run with the key on IGN. It is also easy to hook it up backwards, so it empties the carb back into the tank.

How would I know if the fuel is going into the carb. I have read about a sight window but I dont know where to look. I have pulled the fuel lines off the carb and turned the IGN on and fuel came splashing out so I know that fuel is getting to the carb. The line closest to the rad is the one that pumps ( delevery ) and I assume that the line closest to the firewall is the ( return ) So I hope there not backwards ?

Have you opened the carbs up yet? they might need to be rebuilt, maybe your float needle is stuck closed or your floats are stuck. If you pour fuel down the venturi of the carb and it runs that is just telling you that spark ect is good.
I would look into a rebuild kit for the carbs, its not that bad to rebuild one.

Sterling's site is a great place to learn about these carbs. You might be able to get it going by banging on the top of the carb with a plastic hammer or something similar, that is if the float needles are sticking (sounds like a good candidate).

Backwards! The larger dia. line is the supply and is closest to the firewall. Have you downloaded the carb manual? Check my signature for the link.
