Southern Maryland RX7 freaks..
It was fine just running around the neighborhood. After taking it out on the main road there was some smoke coming up from under the Y pipe. Seems turbo related. I think it may be more serious than just a coolant leak. I plan on pulling the Y pipe off tomorrow.
As soon as I figure out where to get a pressure tester, I'll do that. For now, the car is DOWN.

Check the coolant lines to the turbo. Might have sprung a leak there.
Justin, I am curious what did y our dad get for his Tbird anyway? That was a pretty nice car. I would have thought he would have gotten premium for it. It's too bad he had to sell it at all.

He actually just gave in and sold it for 11k. There was quite a few problems with it, it was in excellent shape. The car can actually go for 25k but it would sit on the market for probably an entire year. They bought it for 7k about 7 years ago. So they made profit. He will buy something else out there, and hopefully it's a 'Vette this time.
We need to have another Hooter's meet soon. How about this coming up weekend?

Oh yeah, I have a futon I need to get rid off. If any of you guys want it, come and get it. It's free of course, I am not taking it with me to Illinois. I also have a free 25" TV to give away also.
Also have some stereo equipment to sell. I believe two receivers and a 100 disc CD changer. I will get details and pictures on everything later this week. So if you want some of this stuff, let me know ASAP. If not, it will be donated to Salvation Army.

The hooters in waldorf JT. I dunno what time, probably around noon time most likely. I won't eat their food, but I will have a beer or two most likely. I can't stand the food there.

I am down for hooters. I wanna mingle with the rx fellas. Could we make it a 2-3pm meet up. I gotta drop my g/f off at work at around that time. Unless she wants to go for lunch, which she probably won't, as she too hates the food there.
I improvised a pressure tester. At 15psi it sprouted a leak at the main hose connection on the front of the engine. I fixed that leak and replaced the turbo coolant lines. I drove it several times today and so far so good. Not sure yet if I trust it enough to drive to Waldorf, but if you guys settle on a time for Hooters, I may just get a wild hair up my *** and drive it anyway.
dave nice to see your keeping the car! I wanna see it sometime in december if the weather is nice enough. Did anyone catch the Clemson / Georgia Tech Game? It was glorious to see that 31 to 7 score in favor of Clemson to put us in te top ten!
