Brian he must have seen you coming I paid 75 for the same relay last summer.you need to get those relays mounted upright though so water does not get in there again.

You could but if you did you would still want to port and rebuild it. Not to mention you need a custom subframe and a custom manifold etc. A 20b is expensive anyway you approach it.

Hey Dave,
Yeah, I called a couple places and Ray at Malloy says they're normally $169, and he assured me it's the odd one. Some other shops didn't even know what I was talking about. It's no big deal, I'm glad that's all that was wrong. I got gigs and tour coming up next week so I won't be able to get to it this weekend. I'll give ya a call when I get back.
I didn't get anymore info Justin on the G. N. I'll try today when I go to the studio at 5pm. Wish me luck in traffic court today for not having a front plate on a car that wasn't even registered in MD!!! Should I plead innocent or guilty with an explanation??? It's only $60 so I may just do the $25 court cost thing.

Sweet, Nice piece of work there councilor. I never ran the front plate on either of my Rx7's. I've never been bothered by the man about it either. Maybe it's my charming personality? If that doesn't work them show some leg right..

So is anyone doing anything interesting with their cars at the moment or what? No one seems to be doing anything. Whats up with that? A little cold weather and you guys nuts freeze to the couch or something? I am about to rip my engine back out next weekend. I have some new stereo equipment to install too.

Where has Mr. I like pizza been? Does he even turn wrenchs any more or have the liberal yuppies got the best of him?

Yeah, I'm stll waiting on the tranny rebuild. Parts are gonna end up taking me to about $800 so im lookin at a little over 1200 for the whole tranny and then another 600 for the clutch. Thank God I'm doing the install myself.

So is Ray rebuilding it then? Anyway that is good that your getting it squared away. Putting the trans back in is easy enough, lucky for your wallet.
Have you had that car on the track yet?

I wish I had an RX-7 to do something interesting with. I am too poor!! Yeah, yeah, cry me a ******* river.

Dave, pulling the engine out? How come? Going to rebuild it? If so, I want to just sit and watch, I never had the chance to see it in action.

No actualy Im having a very highly recomended guy do it localy in St. Marys. Fifth gear was compleetly gone because of the main berring set screw backing out and letting the transmission berring wobble. So with all new shift forks, fifth gear set and a standard rebuild kit, it should be pretty solid when i get it back.

Getting the tranny to ray would have been a problem for me with my schedule and It may have taken longer that way. I'm not trying to diss him at all bc any other problems i have will probably go strait to him. just my guy only does transmissions so...

No i havent had her on th track yet but I really cant wait. I used to go up there and run my Celica GTS. The first day after I had my tune done by steve Kan was the last day of the track being open, and I still wasnt comfortable with rear wheel drive enough to be running the car that hard. -But March Fourth I will be first in line!!! Any one else going?

Also... What transmission fluid do you all use?
And anyone wanna give me pointers for the burnout box because this heel toe thing is kind of confusing me.

I am doing nothing interesting, however my rx-8 was busy last night...

It got stolen and was found later in B'more on fire :\ The cops were less than informative, I have no idea what's going on other than it was stolen and they found it on fire. But i have no idea where the ******* car is or what condition it's in or anything, apparently my insurance company is going to handle that today.

Luckily the two Anne Arundel cops that showed up at the place where it got taken were nice, especially considering I was pretty drunk and spewing obscenities every four words.

Anyway, back to making phone calls trying to figure out what the deal is.

Justin and Matt, I am not rebuilding it. I am going to pay Ray to do it for me. I am only pulling it out and running it up the road. Hopefully it will be something small that is causing my weak compression.
