Check it out.
Now I'm gonna sand it off and start again. I WILL either get it to look good or kill me, one of the two. At this point I'm thinking the latter.

Instead I bought slick sand primer which goes on thick and dries hard. Instructions said to sand it with 400, then paint. Well I sanded it a lot, but I obviously should have started with 220 and taken a lot more off before I went to 400. It looks fine from 3 feet away, but up close it just looks rough. I'll send you a pic of what I'm talking about. Maybe you can give me some tips like "take it to somebody that knows how to paint."

Feel free to email. It might be hard to advise without seeing it in person but I don't mind trying to help. Painting is not all that easy. I learn something new about it almost every time I get my gun out. Asking a lot of questions has helped me out tremendously.

Even doing yours I ran into problems Jon. The hood has contaminaton in it and they need to be budded again. Its hard to buff the parts right if they are not mounted on the car.

Well I'll do some buds while I sand. Speaking of the other kind of Bud, you guys need to listen to this. Go to the link and click the "listen" button to hear the radio program.
