In '91 there were only three models offered. Coupe, convertible and turbo. That's what they're referred by for that year, hence no labelling on the fenders.

I can't decide if i want to do a T2 swap or not, it seems like it takes a lot of effort...ANY THOUGHTS FROM THOSE WHO HAVE DOES THIS OR HAVE EXPIRENCE???? I might just do suspension work and keep it NA
You can't go wrong if you take it one step at a time. Get your chassis up to par first. Build up your suspension, brakes, get a nice set of tires, get everything dialed in, race the car a few times to 'bond' with it. Then decide if your budget still permits doing the turbo swap. Check the 2nd gen archives for what it takes so you can sum up your budget accurately.

You asked me about what setup to get for coilovers, so I'll give it to you in writing now.
The simplest spring set I would get for and RX-7 is the coilover kit from GC, specifically 350lbs 6" front and 250lbs 7" rear. -$399
For more adjustability and a lower ride, get the camber plates, too. -$299
With these you'll need a rear camber adjuster. -$130
And some decent shocks are your best suspension improvement. -$400 to $how fast to you want to go?
It's a little crazy to have all this and not be able to use it right? Your tires are the only thing touching the road. Wheels and TIRES - $as much as you can spend
I know all you asked for is what to order as far as coilovers, but I have to fill you in.

I dont know you. Chu talkin about
I am not into drag racing did that whole thing with my Camaro, so I think i am just going to keep it NA (super charger maybe later on)
350/250 lb rates for springs (Zach your a wussy
) I was going to do either than or 450/350, what spring height do i need. NOTE: I am getting these prebuild, they will come complete.I have Yokohama AVS on my car but i am in the market for wheels and tires right now. Also who makes a LSD for the NA, Cusco? Kaaz?
What the bolt pattern and yes i did a search but the search function sucks....
The shortest 2.5" ID race spring is 6" in length, so with a 450 rate spring your car will be, at 675lbs per corner, 1/2" higher than with a 350 rate spring. Since I got my camber plates, I'm going to go 425 front and move my 350's back. The front end scrapes pretty bad with the adjuster up about 1/2".
(Spring Height)-(Corner weight/Spring rate) = Compressed spring height
So it's up to you. If you get camber plates, 450 rate is fine. If you don't, I highly recommend you don't go higher than 350lbs./in.
This is all in an effort to maintain a low CG while having a decent spring rate. It's a trade off.
Not the function, the user.
BTW, the Racing Beat front end lowering kit is a nice alternative to camber plates if you need to lower the front end some more.

88Vert - you are more than welcome to the springs and the shocks, I am going to order the suspension this week. We can talk price later
Well Zach I will just call you tomorrow or Wed before i order them and we can go over what i want....
I found the bolt pattern its 5x114.3
And its not the user, I am just used to the Honda-Tech search function...what is up with the "less than three characters" search restriction, how are you supose to search for anything, ie. FC

5x114.3, that's the same as my protegay. How interesting. And speaking of wheels etc, the people at machiii said they're out of the slipstreams in the color I ordered, so they're getting a different color but because of the delay I might not get them before this weekend. I'll be kind of upset though, cause I really need them before the school and autocross so my street tires can have a little life left.
The autocross yesterday was so much fun in the rain. I really like it in the rain. My best raw time was 63.xxx, but hit a cone, so my best run that counted was 64.xxx. I learned so much about car control, it was awesome. Can't wait for the autox this weekend, and the school is going to help a lot I'm sure.

Hey FC Guys:
I found an old Racing Beat NA catback at one of our local junkyards that I am selling. Its the older style with the blacked out canisters and the chrome engraved tips. It is old, but in decent shape. It has been cut behind the cat, about 6 inches in front of the Y-pipe. I will have some pics up soon but I wanted to give the local guys a heads up before I try selling elsewhere. I'd like $150 or so - or interesting trades.
PM, e-mail at cafcwest.at.hotmail.com or give me a call at 804.687.6199.
Thanks,
-Jayson

everyone's falling into the pattern of non-posting...Any rate, just got a stock resurfaced flywheel in the mail, clutch is waiting, now to get the little odds and ends and I'll be done with this shitty slipping clutch!

Well,i have my vert at the house.Im going to pick up a motor from maryland mon. morning that was a PD fire, hope it has better luck in my car.The towing of the vert to my house was a interesting one, resulted in knuckle prints and a big dent in the pass. fender.Putting it on the dolly it went a little to far,and off the other end.I always wondered what would happen if that ever happened, now i know.It was a pain in da *** to get back over the dolly, jacked it up and car fell towards the pass. side and thought it caved in the fender so i started wailing the hell out of it till wife made me stop then got in the truck and was just going to drag it out on the street till it fell off,but she stopped me from doing that also.Thankfully i didnt,i got the car back off the dolly and where i thought the pass. fender was caved in from falling on the dolly, was just a big indention that popped out once i got the car from leaning on the dolly. So now i look back and see perfect fender except big dent and knuckle marks, and think how stupid, then wife starts to laugh at me.I had a bad luck day all around yesterday,it started early morning so i should have just left it be till monday evening.Thats my update.
I've done that before, so don't feel too bad. I was towing the TR6 around and when we pushed it up on the dolly the front wheels just went right over it. My heart skipped a couple beats when i saw that happen, lol.
But it didn't have the weight of the engine so nothing was damaged and we were able to get it back up pretty easily. No punching necessary.

i call first ride when you get it all fixed. Considering how it pulled with a slipping clutch it should be an interesting ride. Either that or I've been sheltered to low HP cars.

Zach, it's only a matter of time!
at the towing stories, guess I've been lucky to never have to do that. There's a 87 or 88 that's for sale as is in the parts trader for ~500 or so,
.

yesterday was a great day for an autocross. We had one down here at ACU-4. That is such a great site. I ran and dod pretty good, but I am pretty sure a couple of the real CSP cars got me. There was a Miata from NC that looked like it was gonna be quick too.
