Zach, so was I the straw that broke the camels back?! Did I not buy enough beer/pizza/strippers?! How much are you going to charge?
After lunch, I can go out to my car and get you the #'s for the plugs...
I want to say that they are BURQ7 something and 9 something...
I'm also going to yank the CPU outa mine, and solder it here at work...it'll give all the people in the library something to watch I guess...

BUR7EQ and BUR9EQ, but they'll look at you stupid if you say that too. Just act like a dumbass and tell them you need spark plugs. When they get a confused look on their faces, you know they're looking at the spark plug screen and they're trying to figure out what leading and trailing is. Fun stuff.
Rob, you supplied plenty of beer & pizza
. Each time I did a rebuild, I was doing something different. The first one was just a rebuild, the second was an NA street port, and the third was a TII street port. Doing another engine wouldn't be as exciting, so I'd rather knock it out. I'd also rather not pull the engine, just because I can't keep the car at my garage.
I know, I'm picky, but damn I'm good. Price? That depends on how long it takes me to do it, so it won't be much.

j/kthe profile looks good zach, and i like the "i kicked mikes ***, and mike kicked everyone else's *** because they didnt show up"
thanks man
ok that sounds good, just one minor problem, I have no clue how to pull the engine. Is that rebuild video specific on turbo or non turbo, and I believe you said the Haynes manual is pretty good in terms of taking the engine out, but isn't so good for the putting back in of the engine. Well at least you have taken the dremel out of my hands, I would probably destroy the rotor housing. Also do you ask for payment before or after you do the rebuild? Sorry for the 20 questions.
oh and yea i want the pictures if you can send them zach. straight_into_concrete@hotmail.com. thanks
I was down on Midlothian Turnpike today for an interview and followed a CLEAN 3rd gen into a parking lot. I asked if he knew of any that were for sale and he said this one. It was a 93 Touring, looked like it had just rolled off the showroom floor. He spent $12,000 in upgrades on it back in 1995 (I think) with Peter Ferrell. Has PF Intercooler, computer, big brake package, adjustable suspension (not sure what kind) full exhaust, 3mm apex seals, mild streetport....i was drooling. Probably the cleanest FD I have seen. If anyone has a spare $16,000 laying around, it is yours.

The haynes manual is good for pulling the engine, but common sense will help you the most. Just label what isn't obvious (plugs, vac lines, ect.).

One wrapped around this big thingy labeled "engine"...
On a side note to all those with 2nd gens, check your TPS. My TPS is a newer unit with ~20K on it now. I set it perfectly when I got it, and maybe set it last ~5-6 months ago. Slightly bored yesterday, I pulled off my IC (it was HOT yesterday...) and checked it out. I was more that .20v off...
~0.78v on the full range instead of ~1.00v.

fellow richmonders: Dyno tuning?
Hello everyone. I've been on the forum but haven't posted much in the regional section. The question I had was if any of you guys knew any local shops that will dyno tune for a PowerFC. I have a 3rd gen that i'm running base mod maps for and would like to get it fine tuned with a wideband. I go to school at MCV and was looking for something nearby since I don't have much time to travel far.
If any of you have any experience with tuning with PowerFC and some extra time, I might purchase a DIY WBO2 kit soon, so perhaps we can all get together and learn how to tune. Any help or advice is welcome!
Thanks in advance.

RXJJang- You may want to go to Demetrious in Maryland. I'm afraid he is the closest.
Not that the everyone on this forum is not knowledgable so I don't want to offend anyone.
I in the middle of doing a single turbo upgrade and I'm towing mine to KD Rotary when I'm done. I don't want to take any chances.

.DavidR, thanks for the tip, although I wish one were alot closer. I ate lunch with you and Rob a while back, how's it going? We'll have to check out your setup soon!
Does anyone else know of a shop, or am I going to have to go to KDR's?
I thought that may be you. I haven't heard from you in a while. Have you gotten your car on the track yet?
I'm surprised your switching to the PFC.
KDR is the place to go, he is very nice and has fair prices.
