Not dead yet. I have just been extremely busy, as I'm sure the rest of you have been.

Well, I was going to order my microtech (the lt12) today. I called a few places to check on pricing and to see if the laptop adapter would come with the computer. Long story short, M.T. is coming out with the LT12S in about three weeks. It is a 32 bit processor, new board (by motorola), maps can be saved to the computer now instead of being limited to the three that could be saved to the handset before (i think that is right). There were some other new options that he told me about that I'm not too familiar with. (Extra pwm output for a boost control solenoid). Price should be between $1,100 and $1,400.

1.1- I'm still not done with this project... It has taken much longer then expected. I hope to finish in the next couple of months but I've been saying that for a while. I still am waiting on some fuel system parts.

Damn that's a lot of money. Three weeks? I think you're just trying to put this off a little longer.

I think I may just order the LT12 and be done with it....although saving maps to the laptop would be very nice. I'm looking for some help here guys...!

What do you think I should do?

Saving maps to a laptop wouldn't be that handy of a feature unless you're taking your maps with you and putting them in someone elses car. That or not having to manually input if you recieve a new map. That's the best that function has to offer.

The best feature on the newer one is the user defined load points. That = gold. I only see that as being helpful for microtech to be able to sell more to NA and turbo users.

Just a question, what advantage do you see in ordering the 12 over the 8?

Still waiting on the clutch...

What exactly are user defined load points Joe??

I was thinking the LT12 so I can hook a wideband directly to it instead of having to have another separate unit to clutter things up even more.

How to explain...

For example, I can adjust the fuel at certain points in the fuel map...ie 30"->25"->20" etc etc. All it means by user defined loap points is, you can specify the point in which you can make a change....so say during decel your car never pulls 30" of vacuum, then you could say change it to 27" for better and more refined tuning. Same goes for positive pressures

How's it going to be displayed (A/F ratios)? Are you getting the dash unit as well?

Getting off topic, but neat stuff none the less...

I'm going to try and swing out to the short pump mall on friday...the RX8club has a little get together, I'll post more info as it comes along. Time ~7:30p. Who's welcome? Any of us!

Hey guys,

Sorry if this is inappropriate but anyone know a good place to get kegs around Chester or the southern part of Richmond? We tried calling the local ABC store but no luck there.

Thanks.

What kind of beer? You can get locally brewed beer in 1/2 kegs (the normal size you see everywhere) for ~50-60 at Main St. Brewery down in the fan near Meadow and Main. 100 deposit, includes a keg jacket (with freezer pack inserts) and tap.

If you want the cheaper stuff aka a keg of PBR, I can get back to you tommorow with a place to go.

The best part about getting a keg from Main St, they don't charge the deposit unless you don't return something...that and you get to try all of their beers for free to get a taste of what you want...granted the samples are about 4-6oz.

are you fimilar with chesterfield meadows where route 10 and centriala rd. meet? ive never bought kegs, or alcohol for them, but i have seen lots of people carrying kegs in/out of there. i dont remember the name, but i used to work at the subway RIGHT beside it. you could give that a shop, but it looks like josepi has a good place in mind. like i said, ive never bought anything from them, but i know they do kegs.

If he's out in Chesterfield, he should try that. All I know is the upper range stuff, I've never bought a keg of mass produced beer...

Another option is to call up a wine and beer shop, or even Main St. Brewery (claiming to be a previous customer of course ) and ask them!
