my car is dying. Clutch started slipping cause oil had leaked out of the rear main seal that I just replaced within 20000 miles and somehow got onto the flywheel. While it was in the air I noticed the right rear lower strut bushing broke off, so the strut just moves where ever it wants. Rear left rim is cracked and that strut is blown. hondatime!
Local Rotary Tuner
Hey all. I'm looking for a local tuner to help me get my project car fired up. I jammed a 1987 13b into this 1300lbs Bugeye and I'm getting ready to fire it up and might need some tuning to get it right. Thanks. PS I'm in Killingly CT
Check the subaru forums they usually have more info on good tuners. check NASIOC.com. I can refer you to a good rotary tuner in Ohio if you are willing to travel. He made 220hp at the wheels on a 13b Na. The tuner in Ohio is Defined Autoworks.

and Mike, I think you should mod your car so its faster than my broken rx7 first, then tell me to do more to my car.
Yea, I went there.
[QUOTE=tIIsleeper;9625497]as long as you have stock sized exhaust and stock parts there isnt much to tune but I have no idea what you have

I have 1987 13B with side draft carb, J109 dizzy and one off header with 2" pipes. The car has yet to be started since EFI was removed so I'd like some help with timing, carb set-up, tweaking.

I know there is a guy in shrewsburry on rout 20 at a place called hubcap city that says he is good with carb rotary's but all my experiences with him were not to pleasant but that was with a fuel injected.

STi struts in front
GR2 struts in rear
STi 22mm sway bar
Interior:
2002 2.5RS front seats in black

Drilled and Slotted Rear rotors
Exterior:
VIS Carbon Fibre hood
Tune is a basic Stage 4 tune, with the boost cranked back to keep it safe.
These cars are lighter, and cheaper compared to a WRX or STi and with some minor mods will easily outrun any WRX or STi out there.
The brighton coupes were the lightest cars, made by Subaru at this time, lacking power windows, power locks or a sunroof.
The car retains Heat AND A/C which is Rare in full swaps like this. Interior is still 100% together, radio, with kicker rear speakers.
All new tyres and a balance and alignment.
Car also passed Emissions in Connecticut and has a clean CT Title in hand.
The Bad:
Passenger door is damage and needs to be replaced, but should be cheap 200 - 300 usd.
