I was referring to Hitokiri_Gensai. I don't know if Christian is Hitokiri_Gensai or not. I don't know anyone's name around here besides ZumspdRX-7's.

Sweet! I wanted to do a WRX swap to my old GC coupe but the suspension was too rusty. Where did you get it from, if you don't mind my asking?

shes mah baby!

I picked it up from a guy in West Virginia. He had bought the car already converted, but the wiring was **** and the dash had a huge gap in it (GD dashes dont just swap into the GC/GM/GF, the mounting points match but they push the dash out a good 2 inches or so)

So its got a JDM 02 WRX harness (Auto climate control!) with an 02 WRX RHD dash, running a JDM cluster and stuff.

Does that jdm harness have the auto I/C sprayer button? I know the GD jdm cars had it but idk about the 02. I was just wondering how it is set up from the factory if you even have one. I just modded my stock I/C sprayer so every time I depress the clutch it will spray for 2 seconds as long as the toggle switch is on. I can also use the stock button still

yea I figured it would be gone cause you got the fmic. Even after i went to a fmic on my 7 I noticed some heat soak. I'd put that i/c into the sti but it seems way too huge for it

yeah but thats cause its a 7 :P they run notoriously hot, so with an FC, a FMIC is still gonna catch heat coming off the rad. Thankfully, Subarus dont do that so much :P

An FMIC would be a good idea, just because like the FC, the TMIC heatsoaks like a ************. The IC sprayer is ok at stock levels but if you ever plan on upgrading the turbo etc, itll suck.

My old Brighton Coupe had a Stage 4 WRX 2.0 in it, and in the summer months id heat soak 3 psi out of the TMIC.

Eitherway, your running a VF39 Turbo, which is a decent turbo, its a common swap into the WRX blocks in which the stock turbo is a TD04. At current levels, you really dont need more than the stock TMIC, but if you upgrade the turbo, its best to go FMIC, just because itll heatsoak worse an worse at higher power levels.

So let me know what you ultimately plan and i can give you a good set up to make the car whatever you want it to be.

Personally, what i think is the best set up for a Daily Driven STi is, VF34 Turbo, STi Pink Injectors (565cc), Walbro 255 Lph pump, FMIC, 3" downpipe, any number of catback exhausts. That set up, with a good open source tune should see you at like 300 - 350 pretty reliably.

That set up could get you 300 at the wheels on a WRX I thik the STi could pull off a little more.

Billy if you do upgrade your turbo and intercooler I would be interested in them, maybe not so much the intercooler because ebay TMIC are so cheap, but I would buy your turbo as long as its not wrecked.

yeah maybe but 350 whp is about the limit of the STi block. The ringlands tend to crack apart beyond that, some people say more, but if you want reliable, you dont wanna go higher than that.

Ive seen several people ruin their engines by putting down more than the block could handle.

yeah if you ever wreck the car ill take the trans set up off yer hands :P xD

Yea I've read that stock 2.5 blocks pretty much blow. Im hoping to get up to stage 2 by the end of summer. I almost bought an accessport v1 off of a guy until I read about the v2 which made me want a v2. It would probly take 1000-1200 bucks to get to stage 2 buying used parts including the v2 AP. I only want around 300 whp since its my daily

Billy you should get this
------> http://www.vishnutuning.com/impreza_sti_stage0_v350.htm

I think that was Ali had on his car and that thing was plenty fast you might be able to hit 300 wheel with some other small **** and not have to sacrifice for a lout exhaust. Vishnu can give you a tune for the down pipe and the small **** you just need to call them. If you do actually do want to tune your self than the accessport is probably the best but for how much you used your R-tek will you really use the accessport? In my opinion map for map Vishnu is better but accessport has more features if you are going to use them.
