I've never had front tags on any of my cars. In the past 16 years, I've only gotten pulled over 2 times. Once at the BWI arrival terminal, and they didn't really care, or give me a ticket. the other time was on rt100 in Howard County, MD. It was middle of the day, so bad time to be driving. The fine was $60 but no points. $60 for 16 years without tags is a good trade.

Front tags sux, because they usually are placed in front of the bumper with screws or bolts mounting the tag. When someone hits the tag, even lightly, it puts two holes in the bumper. Without the tag, a minor impact does no damage. Also, they look bad, block radiator air, hurt aerodynamics, and give a good target for laser police speed guns.

Summit point, they have a few fields next to the racetrack that we use.

there is usually one every month, but they usually take at least 1 summer month off.... I'll let you know when next years schedule comes out.

There is also a rallycross program starting up in the Philadelphia region which might be a bit closer, I'll let you know if they have a race again this year.

EDIT: after actually looking at a map... Philly is just as far from state college as summit point is both about 3 hours... no fun.

Surprisingly Philadelphia is probably just as far as Summit for me.

I don't have my car up here at college anyways cas it cost too much a month to keep it up here. Its like 60 bucks a month for parking at my apartment complex.

never seen an FD in mt. airy or laurel crazy's. And I don't think anyone will. They just have too much value. Maybe if it was a complete crushed ball with no useable parts. FC used to be all over these two junkyark locations, but now they have gotten really hard to find in the last few years. I used to be able to expect 2 or 3 each visit. Now none is most common sight.

Does anyone have a set of clear FD turn signals? Mine are smoked and I need to pass safety inspection. If anyone would be willing to let me borrow them just to pass inspection I would greatly appreciate it. Please let me know if you can help.

Thanks,
Mike

I might be selling my FC... and the Tamon/RE-Amamiya kit I have for it.
Just... dont have time for it, its not going to be good for winter.. trying to get a Subaru to put miles on instead of that or the SRT.

Only thing is.. I kinda just want to sell it in MD and have the new owner keep the "13B" plates lol

rx-7s do fine in snow as long as you don't have summer tires on them...

my friend's miata with an open diff and snow tires was just as good if not better than my subaru last winter on all-seasons (it has 2 LSDs)... I now have winter tires for it

this one can hardly drive in the rain without me feeling like im going to slide into something and die. the Diff needs some TLC... that I dont have money for. The car is great on dry pavement! lol

my SRT needs tires and front rotors right now.. and that will run me over 1k, and I just hate to see the RX7 sit when I know someone could treat it better.

OH YEAH they do. I've gotten 3 tickets for it in about 5 years - no repair order interestingly...(so of course it's still behind the pass seat). But I drive my FC 100 miles/day on the highway so it gets lots of opportunity to be seen by the state police (county cops don't care apparently).

When we getting together at Fudds again?

I got pulled over and got a warning from a county cop for driving without a front tag.

Yup, on my FD and past FCs. Less of a reason to pull me over for tint, exhaust(its loud), or any other stupid stuff. Check my lights alot too lol. I go out to alot of meets ect and they single cars out.
