I tried adding some washers.. extending it.. and its long enough. It is just not heavy enough and I cannot push down on it hard enough to get the second latch to engage.

I took the latch off to see how hard I would have to push and its a good amount of pressure that I am pretty sure would crack the hood if I pushed fully.

Take the hood off and drive without the hood.
I've done this to several of my cars for various reasons.

After reading the discription for it on diyautotune i was like wait a sec. I didnt order the zeal kit. ill probly do it today. I set up the MSII with the VR and hei/hall effect/point also. messed up on that bit... Not the VR part though. Should still be able to get it to work with stim though id think. And if you could i got really confused on wich Firmware to use and how to flash. Just wasnt as clear to me. Maybe it was just a bad day lol. So ill bring my laptop with me. If we can set it up on it im good.

So this is why i was unable to make it to the meet. We had a fire at my house about 2 weeks ago and it burned down my outbuilding. This is the first weekend i have been home in a month so i have been busy with a lot of insurance stuff. It pretty much killed my daily and my race car. Just visually inspecting the car there is nothing salvageable. It also destroyed a whole bunch of parts I had including a full Turbo II swap I had in my out building. So I have been really busy with all this crap. Only good news is i still got my megasquirt not that I have a car to put it on. Hopefully insurance cuts me a good check and I can go get another car.

??

Winter doesn't officially start until tomorrow... and doesn't end till March.

In this area though I've seen 65-70 in January and a blizzard in late March.
