Sounds fine to me. the smokey one probably just needs new oil seals, usually the side housings are fine.

I love those Viton coolant seals too.

My main reason for wanting to dyno it isn't even for maximum power, tuning on a load-holding dyno is so much easier, and you end up with much better results, with better drivability and fuel economy.

I just got the prototype S5 NA RX7 adapters in. I de-soldered an S5 connector from one of the stock computers I had lying around, and fitted it to the adapter, and it fits perfectly, so the next set of tests will be making sure all the traces go where they should.

Assuming those tests pass, I'll be ready for a test car as soon as this weekend.

I also made sure that this would be able to control the aux ports and VDI as well.

I'll take pictures of it as soon as I figure out what I did with my camera.

i got a 27" panasonic tv thats up for sale. asking $100 OBO.

its got up thru component inputs. fully working remote. only issue with it is some of the coloring on the screen that having it degaussed would make it back to perfect.. one side of screen is a little red and other is a little blue. no dark spots or anything. convergence of 3 colors is still pretty much spot on.

Anyone live near Beltsville? I have a job interview from a company in Beltsville and I have no idea what the area is like. The only thing I do know is that homes are damn expensive. Whats good about Maryland? Inspections and smog?

Mucho Gracias

Vehicle inspections are tough.
The smog itself isn't bad - emissions inspections however are a B*^CH!
If your car is >20 years old, you can get historic tags and not have to worry about either!
Beltsville has a very wide range of people and settings - slums to mansions, city to huge agricultural sites. Bowie isn't too far from there and probably has some cheaper houses. Also check College Park, GlennDale, Greenbelt, Berwyn Heights.

I work near there (Lanham). Goddard Space Flight Center is nearby (Greenbelt), and there's some nice apartments near it (I can put you in touch with a friend who lives there).

Recommend Avalon Automotive about 25 miles away (Elkridge) for RX7 work and inspections. Heath is the shop manager and has done almost all the work on my 88 vert.410-796-2700

Plenty of help here on the forum to get a rotary thru emissions testing!!

We get together monthly in Columbia (about 20 miles away) at a Fuddruckers.

I grew up in NH and moved down here for a job, myself... Whats good about Maryland? I like the weather, there's plenty of things to do if I want to pursue them... Its really expensive, you're right, but I guess you just get used to it.

Traffic is horrifying, though. Especially as you get closer to DC and the beltway. Boston's traffic has nothing on this.

The homes are expensive? They're some of the cheapest in the area last I checked... Beltsville's homes are mostly very old, and depending on where in beltsville you are, it's a bit ghetto.

I lived in Berwyn Heights which wasn't too bad.. the town has a bunch of bylaws and they're kinda **** about enforcing them. I got yelled at a few times by the cops for revving my engine outside (tuning accel enrichments on a few different cars)
