eage8: my thought was why spend 40 bucks on a 2 port switch when you can get a crossover cable for like 2 bucks. this thing is ancient. its linksys from BEFORE their famous blue chassis. and the box makes it sound like its a full layer 4+ 48 port switch or something. onlything it would do would be split the collision domain up if you had a couple of HUBs on your network.
