Whats up guys, I'm guessing this is hte place to post if you drive an RX7 and you live in MD. I started reading this thread but at page 15, I got discouraged . Can someone fill me in on any meets that have been scheduled in the area that are upcoming? I'm new to the RX7 scene but have been doing the car thing for quite some time (my other car is a 330 whp awd DSM ). I love to hang out with some of you and do RX7 things.

Welcome to the group Lex! Most of the meets consist of either Tuesday/Thursday garage meets (canceled this week) or Fuddruckers meets (once a month at Fuddruckers!)

why don't you just use the stock o2 sensor location??

I've seen this car, it's pretty nice

(if it's the one I'm thinking of)

It's too close to the engine.... the sensor will get too hot. Wideband sensors aren't meant to get that hot. In the stock location, even heatsinking the sensor will probably not keep it cool enough.

This leads to inaccuracies at best, and at worst, the wideband controller just won't be able to read the sensor.

I also want to leave the narrow band in so I can look at its signal more easily and configure the MS to work right with it. It'll only be useful at cruise but with stock cars, at least the tune should still be close.

with the ae86, I need a bung welded into the downpipe for my TRD header because old toyotas don't have proper bungs... they have these 2 bolt flange things...

yeah its the one you have seen. We were going to swap it over into the 91 dark blue NA but no one has the time. I will probably sell the 91 next once we get it running. It hasn't moved in over a year.

I call your number, but it says you're not taking calls :p

We are tuning my car tonight!!

I got it running 16.4:1 on cruise!!! HAHAHAHA! Who said RX-7s arent fuel efficient?

I'm going to try and tune more out of it later, gotta get that mess of wires off my passenger side floor so I can give people rides.

Ken is outside right now, he got the GXL running very nicely on our first Plug and Play MegaSquirt unit! Still have some work to do though!

Since it's been installed I haven't had more than an hour to spend in the garage anyway. I had an extra TV and I figured it couldn't hurt while they were cabling the rest of the house. I think it was like $25 extra because they had to trench the cable the extra 12 ft to get there.

If I ever have some time off work, I'm sure I can manage to get some work done. Probably just put some music videos on for background noise or something. Plus if we haven't sold our house by spring it'll be pretty cool for the next BBQ I have.

after the turbo should be ok I think, but I don't know how far that is from the engine though.

I have the all the molding for the car, I was waiting til I painted it before I put it back on.

I bought my FC almost 2 years ago while I was living in Los Angeles, CA. I bought the car to R&D for AITRACING.com and to
commute from home/school/work. The car was pretty much stock besides the original motor had a mickey-mouse streetport and
the motor died about 10 months after I bought the car. The swapped motor was imported from Japan with a little over
35K miles, when it was installed. In August I moved to MD to start a new career and go back to school. As you can see I
had many plans for this remarkable car. Most of the tuning and mechanical work was done by aitracing.com development team,
RX7club member (fc3s91) Rob, SP Engineering (sp-power.com) and Sam from (j-spec.com). I currently daily drive this car,
but at this point in my life I can't use this as a daily driver. Seriously, if I had the money to keep this car to use as a
weekend cruzier and continue modifying/customizing it... I would. The motor's compression is currently at 13, so it very
strong and still has a lot of life. If you were to use this car to commute as I did you will not to put a penny into this car,
besides the gas and regular maintainence. There are minor tedious fix-its that can be done in no time, such as adding a
camber kit or working on the sound system. I am selling the car as is... it is pretty much ready to paint, show, drift or
just cruize around in. I totally stand behind this car and all the work that has been done to it since I have owned it and can
give you personal references to parts installed and other labor performed.

I am selling the car and all extra parts that I have for $9,700.00 I don't need to tell you this is a killer deal...but I will
anyway. The wide body kit, rims, motor, suspension and labor involved alone add up to more than $6,000 alone!!
I will consider very close and serious best offers... Email (kitpusher@yahoo.com) me if you are interested and want more info...
we can arrange shipping also if you are not located in Maryland area.

No breaks at all?! Yeh, if we have to, we might need to do an 'on sight' repair! Whats the pedal do? Stregiht to the floor? Does the MBC have fluid in it? Leak marks or rust?

Hey Aryeh :d

Anyone interested in getting their car dyno'ed?? If we can get a group of 7-14 cars wanting to get dynoed we should set up a dyno meet.. at Extreme motorsports in odenton, MD... about 15 minutes from Fudds in Columbia..
I need to tune my car and am going to get it dyno'ed regardless but i was wondering if anyone else was interested. 1 day fee of $700 up to 16 cars for 8 hours of dyno time.. good chance to test your Megasquirt set up's or whatever plus we could show up in force and give the DSM guys a taste of rotary exhaust, lol.
If we can get 14 cars it would lower the price to $50 dollars a person which is almost half price. Do it, do it!

Sounds like the Master Break Cylender has died, leaked into the vaccum booster, and even that might be leaking now. I've got spares, and it is very easy for me to install these, but it takes a little time to do it right, and the brakes have to be blead after installation. I reccomend buying a new Master Brake Cylender instead of buying a used one from me, and I will provide the brake booster.

I can pick up all the stuff on my way up on Monday or Wensday afternoon, should you so desire:

- Brand new MBC: $140 or Used MBC: $30 (I don't reccomend this option unless you're poor)
- Used, but good vac booster: $35 (Yours might still be good, and the car will run and brake fine without it, but the brakes will be very hard to depress)
- Fluids: $10
- Just buy me lunch for the labor involved, and help out some.

Jason, I definitely want to have the work done. I will follow your suggestion and get a new MBC and a used vac booster. I will be working on Monday and Wednesday, but may be able to return to Columbia about 3:30. I wouldn't know until about !2:30 each day whether I can return by that time. I guess that would be too late though as there will not be much daylight time left. Is it possible for you to come to Columbia on the 2nd after 11:30, the afternoon of the 3rd, anytime on the 4th, anytime on the 5th, or anytime on the 7th? I appreciate your willingness to help me out. Kay
