I'd tag some wheels off a later model econobox in the scrapper, preferably 15 inchers.
As far as sticking with the stock wheels, 185-70R13's are the stock size for non GSL-SE 1st gens. See what they're running.
I'd go with some Kumho 771. It's a basic tire, about $40 a pop. VERY stiff sidewalls, hard rubber composition and very durable. I had them on the Civic and could do several 30 sec burnouts and lost about 1/32 of an inch of tread. (This was back when I worked at Merchants and got em for $20 a pop.)
Air them up to 45PSI cold for a good stiff ride and good handling, and remember: If they only wear out in the center, you're not cornering hard enough.
Excellent in the snow as well and good offroad as well (Back when I had the 4wd Civic Wagon, I'd hit up open construction lots after the rain.)
I don't know if i told you all what happened with the exhaust. a few flakes of metal but no chunks. the exhaust manifold is held on by 3? studs as the fourth one is stripped as hell. and i discovered that i may not be burning coolant but i certainly am cooking it because my water pump leaks like a sieve. at this point im considering selling this car to spend another 1k on another that *hopefully* won't have these problems.

Good idea, that thing had quite a few problems :O
I doubt you'll get 1K for it unless you lie about it tho :p
Is this the one with the blown rotor, right?
Water pump leaking is a $60 fix, and is easy to replace.
