Myk, you should be able to move your car to my house wed or later. Julian and I are moving the hachi to my dad's tomorrow (finally, julian's settled in at his new job, and we can finally start on the engine swap and megasquirt).

If you wouldn't mind, I'd like to attempt an install. I'd like to see what all is involved with the initial setup and actually getting it from a car and an assembled MS unit to at least running...

I have to help someone install one down here in VA, where I won't have much to go off of, so I'd like to learn as much as possible.

Are you trying to see what's involved on the hachi? or on myk's car? Myk and jason will be doing myk's install at my house.

Myk, I'll finish modding your megasquirt this week most likely now that I have enough spare megasquirts to build my own test unit. You still have to get your wiring harness taken care of anyway... If you want, I can wait to build and install your vr sensor conditioner and stuff until you're there, so you can see what I'm doing.

As long as "as soon as I can" means "wed or later"

And so, all was well in the universe....

Except for the fact that I got a $75 ticket this morning before even leaving the neighborhood...

You can thank "Officer McFatty" for that one....

The FB is finnicky in the morning when first starting up, so it stalls sometimes when I go from stop to start without laying into the gas a bit or kind of doing a "rolling stop"...

Well, I choose for the latter so as not to wake the neighborhood with my busted exhaust, and stop-and-go through a stopsign... Too bad for me that he was waiting on the right for me...

Ahh well, it's not so bad I guess... lol

yeah, the neighborhood cops are real sticklers for EVERYTHING... especially the fat one...... He wanted to put me in jail that night when I got the driving w/o insurance ticket (and that's when I was close enough to the house to f***ing push the car there).

That's why in our neighborhood I rarely go more than like 3-5 mph over the speedlimit, and ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS stop at every single stop sign. I can't remember how many times I've stopped and been glad because I saw the fatass sitting there when I went through the intersection... I could see the disappointment in his face when I came to a full stop, waited 2 seconds, looked both ways, and then pulled off.

I thought I warned you to drive like a granny in the neighborhood...

lol, I DID drive like a granny.... It's just that I didn't stop fully before moving on again...

Man, he didn't waste any time hitting those lights either.... About 3/4 out of the intersection is when I noticed him, lights already ablaze...

Funny thing is, he tried to give me some BS excuse for giving me the ticket like he really didn't want to...

"Well, you know how the HQ is... They're really being tough on us around here to patrol the area and watch out for people at stop signs, so it's out of my hands..."

Yeah right, as if he had anything better to do.... I hardly ever see him doing jack ****, and i'm betting i'm the only ticket he's gotten in months....

Well boys I am home from the 20 man bachelor party in Vegas. You younger guys need to stay away from this place until you are around 30. Anyways -$2600 in 2 days later I think I have a blister on my thumb from sticking my hand in my pocket to pull out cash for everything. A few restaurants actually charged $8 bucks for the water they bring over before you order $20 drinks from the bar before your meal. So 3 days 2 night 20 guys and we figured it all cost in the neighborhood of $45,000. I wouldn't be in such a hurry to get married if I was you young kids.

Thats . . . insanity. . .

Besides, whoever drinks that water, shall thirst again. But whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.

...(John 4:13, 14) . . .

(Translation: You probably wouldn't drink the water even if Jesus endorced it) :-p

yeah the water was $8 bucks which sucks with a party of 20 and my marblized rib eye steak $55 dollars and that was worth every penny. Smith and Woolinski (spelling error) on the strip had the best steak I have ever had. Out of the 30 dollar cover charges for the strip clubs and 300 dollar bottles of champane just to get table I can say that I would go back for the steak house. Oh and the women at the Bellagio main gambling floor and the hard rock poolside could get me to go back aswell. Nothing like playing blackjack sitting in the pool surrounded by implants and g-strings at 110 degrees

Myk's car. I actually planned on attempting the install at his house if you didn't want to do it at your house.

However I never even saw a point to having it at your house aside from easier access to the Metro. Same facilities as his house. The farm would be better because he still needs to get the turbo plumbing set up, all manner of vacuum lines connected, and some other stuff.

Jon says no more cars at the farm

and I guess we can do it at my house if you want. I should be getting a hold of some transportation fairly soon. (my dad just bought a second car ) so I'll be able to get there.
