well, my friend has been slowly working on his Corolla to get it ready for the ginormous turbo he's had sitting in his garage for a year. he got a high stall torque converter from levelten(i could find info if you wanted, though i doubt you will for the camry...). essentially, he didn't see the point in changing the gearbox, just upgrading the tc.
i still think he's a fool for trying to make his automatic, insanely heavy 01 Corolla into a speed demon, but whatever...i was bored, he'd never done it before, so i figured i'd help out. we also had a pro mechanic "leading" the whole ordeal.
they ended up breaking a few things when i left, too...typical
that's honestly the first auto i'd ever done anything to - beyond repairs, i don't see the POINT in working on them...all these kids beefing up their autotragics amuses me to some sad degree.

Besides, it's probably good that they broke some things. They'll learn about them.
I learned how to fix things out of necessity because I probably broke them in the first place as a kid.

...nevermind the fact that said caddy is a V8, and he bitches abuot gas mileage constantly...and he's turboing a stock 1.8L, and is hoping to get 300WHP out of it...
yeah, i could go on, but i won't. let's just say he didn't really plan it out all THAT well.
this house is now called "aces over 7's house" or something...
(3 rx7club members in the house... I was gonna call it rx7 house, but there's the hachi (mine and julian's) and the s13 (broken))

late summer/early fall, and it takes place in Crownsville.
i'll be having a meet for more than just 7 folks...essentially, telling everyone i know i'm going on such-and-such weekend, and that i'll happily provide transpo for up to 6 other folks if they pick a mutual meeting place and help pay for gas

That's gonna be a jab in the gut, as far as cash goes.

And speaking of cash, I'm late for work... I get to babysit the CNC milling machine today... Better bring the GameBoy... I'd hang around on here, but we've got the ph33r3d uBer31337 28.8K AOL connection there.
that's cheap for a house. I'm living in this house still b/c rent is $391 per month, my g/f's aunt owns the house, and I'm trying to save up for a down payment of at least 20-30% on whatever house I buy (so I need like 20-30k plus some cash to keep stored up just in case)
eh...i guess i grew up where housing was cheap. our 3-bedroom, 1.5 bath, furnished basement(with full deck and pool) sold for $165k back in 99...and the houses in my area are around the $200k level(last i checked, anyway).
