Sometimes, but I don't think it's in the same way as you're imagining....

You really shouldn't think about me like that, especially since you're supposed to be straight and have a girlfriend...

Any shop that can do basic wrench turning mods along with a AWD dyno you can't loose. I also want a mobile dyno to take to meets and shows, it will also give me a reason to be down in O.C. for the weekend alot in the summer

just stay away from the supra week and corvette week conventions...some nice people but a lot are just A-holes ("my dick is bigger than your dick" type people...especially with the value of their car)

supra guys...are just like rx-7 guys with the models. MKIII/FC guys are usually the decent guys and MK4/FD guys have some sort of foreign object inserted sideways into their rectal breach

They can be how ever they want but 3 dyno pulls with AFR is 75 bucks. I was at one last summer in OC at hooters parking lot and the guys were making a killing all day until 10pm at night. I also say some 16 year old kid blow up his dads 99 bmw m3. He refused to believe that he didn't have 300 rwhp. So he kept going back and adding fuel injection cleaners and finally he put so much ocatane booster in he toasted it. Then he cried and tried to blame the dyno people. He called his dad and said he was going to sue and all that unless they bought him a new motor. It was so funny

Thats really not a bad idea. I would set it up to be a "you can tune all you want but we take no responsibility if you blow up whatever your working with". It would be a great prospect for local tuners that wouldn't normally have dyno access. I think it would be important to have a shop with no specific bias towards any one car. Domestic/import/make whatever.

Yeah that will do it. I could care less because everything is fast these days. I like my turbo vert because it is fast, handles great, and is topless. Anything with a standalone & and turbo will run low 11's and thats crazy fast on the street. And I could care less if you want me to lean your car out to get higher numbers to impress your friends. But yes I will go in with anyone who wants a shop along these lines. Just pm me

because dynos are expensive and they break all the time. Not to mention it takes minimum of 3 employees to safely run a session.

aren't dynopacks cheaper than your standard roller dyno?

on top of that, they're mobile...and you wouldn't have to rip up the floor to install one.

Are they cheaper yes. But they don't give you wheel hp and cannot figure in wheel and tire combos so it would kinda be gay. I can get a mobile dyno loaded on a trailer for 70k.

most of the bigger car meets you can usually get in line for a free dyno session for your car but like he said...its only a ROUGH estimate on one of those dynos.
