I'm planning on going to the RPM grand opening, I'll post a cruise thread up if I get around to it. MAYBE @He's On Toroids can make it into a spring cruise

You guys are doing just fine yourself setting up the meet, why do you need my stamp of approval? Haha, I'll be there if my schedule allows it. I'm definitely hoping to get out more this year.

Keep me posted. Last season I couldn't enjoy the car as much!

Fancy seeing you here. The last time I saw it was upon it's sale when I helped load it on a trailer sometime in the 2010-2012 time frame IIRC.

Wow, you really DO hate money :-). Babies suck up money faster than a rotary guzzles oil. Congratulations!

My three-year-old boy likes to pat the car cover on my FD when he walks in and out of the garage. Car cover is because he also likes to throw things :-/.

And you don't need no stinkin' classes. Give her a ratchet set and open the hood. That's how I learned how to cross-thread spark plugs trying to do a tune-up on my first car (1977 Toyota Celica GT). When I finally took it to a professional mechanic, he said "whoever did your last service was an idiot."

He wasn't wrong :-).

Hey all,

I posted an event thread in the NE forum for RPM's Open House next month. Hope I'm not stepping on anyone's treads.

Congratulations Levi! Heck of a time right now though. Strange dark days now and ahead. It can only get better though, it has to right? Eventually. Hopefully, you’re getting more home time with her - unless you’re “essential”.

To the greater DC Metro RX-7 community - I hope everyone is healthy and safe out there!

I need to grab my car from storage to take advantage of nice weather days like today and social distance myself in the cockpit and go for a drive in the backcountry. Heck, we can go for a cruise everyday with all the time I’m sure many of us have right now. What do you say Rocky? Still busy with work?

I’m not - really wish I was. Going crazy here.

Stay safe everyone

Heya Duc, thanks!!

Yeah, the world has definitely lost its chill for the moment! Lol

Honestly I think the doom and gloom being pushed is just a result of 95% of the world finally being faced with the reality of their own mortality. It takes a moment to wrap your head around and accept the fact that tomorrow could begin the final days for themselves or the ones they care about. Personally, I practice "negative visualization" and momento mori in a stoic sense, it's great for keeping life in perspective!!

But yeah, I'm still working though thankfully I have the capability to work from home, so I've had plenty of time around the house Last week I swapped the trans/diff fluid in my miata. Once this rain leaves I think I'll do the valve cover gasket that's been leaking...

The RPM open house was canceled. They announced the cancellation on FB a week or so ago.

Picking up the FD now. Will likely take it for a few spins this week if anyone wants to meet up - while adhering to social distancing guidelines of course. Only one person per engine bay! Haha Strange times.

Maybe to a hiking destination like Harpers Ferry - a nice drive and the outdoors. I need to get out.

Sigh.... unfortunately yes, still busy.

I'm not sure that all of us coming from disparate locations to congregate together is really within the spirit of social distancing, even if we keep to the 6 ft rule. Although, it might be fun to do a virtual meetup/wrenching session if someone is going to do some work on the car and wants to live-stream it.

Nope, can't even do that unless the Gov recants his decree: STAY AT HOME!

Yeah, the Guv kinda killed that idea. Can't even technically go for sprints around the beltway - unless I'm "getting food" which of course I will be if pulled over. Will probably finally paint my brake calipers if there's time. I like red or yellow but I also don't like attention so likely black. Any suggestions?
