When I get everything in and ready to do the install I'll hit you up so you can check it out. I would like to have it done in six months or so but things always seem to come up when your doing a project. I plan on throwing a cam in and getting some head work done before it goes in. I would like to have around 400hp out of this motor, which will not be hard at all.

[QUOTE=xShiFTx;11003489]I have no experience with EBC's as I only run Hawk pads on both the Rx7 and my DD. I feel like the HP+'s are good for a car that does more tracking with some autocross while the HPS are geared more towards a car that does strictly autocross/very few track days.
Rotors - Should be fine. Make sure the break in your pads properly by following the Hawk instructions.
What kind of brake fluid are you running?
Thanks for your help Steve, Im gonna go with the hawk pads, HPS, I am going to change my brake fluid, when I change out all the brake components, not sure which brand, but I will check and see what DOT I should run and just try and find fluid with a good temp range. Are there any that you have used and had really good results?
Thank you,
Spencer

So, I was thinking of getting the hawk hp plus pads for the front and getting the HPS for the rear. I think that combo will work fine. What do you think?
Eaststreet, thanks for the fluid tip. sounds like a good deal to me.

It's hard to say. The street touring classes do not allow modifications to the brake proportioning valve so if the fronts lock up all the time you might have to buy a pair of HPS pads for the front anyway. I'm guessing that HPS in the front and stock in the rear would work well, but it's probably going to be something that you'll need to experiment with. Essentially, you're looking for pads that will allow you to get on the brakes hard without locking the wheels. I've found this very difficult to do with the Hawk HP+.
I use ATE super blue brake fluid. Perhaps it's a bit overkill for autox.

Steven thinks the HP plus pads are a bit to aggressive also. Ok, well I guess im gonna go with HPS all around and c how it works out.
Where do you guys order or buy your performance brake fluid from(Im in durango so, im SOL for race shops or performace stores).
Thank you,
Spencer

Whoops.. Thought I replied to this last time I was on..
I too use ATE super blue brake fluid. I feel like brakes are something you can never be too careful with.
Also, like Phil said, your car is setup to have a certain brake bias from the factory. Using different pad compounds front/rear will adjust this brake bias and if you aren't careful you end up with a screwy bias and braking gets difficult.
Unless you want to do some testing and see what works best -- I'd just throw a set of HPS' on there and call it a day.
ALSO-
RGRSCCA is putting on an autocross school March 17th at G-Lot. Unfortunately I'll be up in Taos that entire weekend snowboarding so I won't be instructing. Here is a flyer for it http://www.rgrscca.com/flyer/3-17-12.pdf
The first points event is the following weekend (March 24th) at G-Lot. If anyone is interested and needs more info let me know..

I have never touch a 13b before so I'm really weary about me doing the build myself.
I'm at the point I want to pay someone to do it. but at the same time I would like to learn how to do it. Hows the FD build going?

If you want to see how to build a rotary I have the atkins rebuild dvd. It will give you an idea of what you are going to be dealing with. It helped us out when I helped my buddy do his t2 motor rebuild. It's kind of dry but good info and a good guide.

Yeah man I miss it too. I've already put so much money towards it, I just want it running.

The FD is going. Slowly but surely. Got a lot of parts to put on but the body work is taking forever (its my first time doing that type of ****). After that I need to find an engine/trans and it'll be running.
