Ongoing New Mexico thread
Hey, guys do u know when the new rgr schedule will be posted? I just looked and the 2011 schedule is stilll up. Have you guys done any new upgrades yet this winter? Sorry I have not been on lately.
Spencer.
Spencer.
If you look at the Google calendar on the RGR front page it has the events in there. I dunno why they decided to do it like that because its hard to find.
As for the event that was suppose to be at g lot on Feb 26th I haven't heard anything.. As of now it looks like the first event is late March.
Haven't done much to the car.. just reliability mods. Have you done anything to yours?

Rebuilt engine, rebuilt transmission, new drive shaft, rebuilt drive axles, new wheel bearings, adjustable rear camber links, and adjustable rear toe links. My old transmission locked in reverse, and my old engine started leaking oil into the header when I started it up to back it into the garage. It was time for a complete powertrain overhaul.
my upgrade were some deeper dish wheels 3" lip in the rear....mmmmmmmm!!!

Hey does anyone Golf on this forum....planning on playing next weekend if anyone interested in going?? (time to shake off the rust)
I got a pacesetter header I'm planning on heat wrapping and putting on in combo with my soon-to-be-shortened test pipe, soon as i get the emissions **** sorted out sometime this month. S'bout it really, i plan on doing a clutch kit and getting some shifter bushings sometime soon, haven't really decided on when though.
I golf...poorly, but I have fun (shooting over 100).
Mods: Ceramic coated DP and Hi-flo cat
New o2 sensor
New plugs/wires
Painted a fender
New aluminum ast (after the old one exploded)
Replaced front brake calipers w/daytona yellow painted ones*
Yeah, mostly maintenance type stuff.
*sadly the driver side has started to leak. I've got a spare passenger side caliper I'd like to trade if anyone else has a spare driver's side.

DeltaBlues GSL in Santa Fe
I like the idea of a meet/club in NM- I'm in Santa Fe and my '85 GSL is getting paint right now- it will be show worthy- saved it from the scrap heap and tying up all the loose ends- stay in touch with me, keep me updated- I can't get around this forum too well- I'm an old guy with no skills-
Good luck with the name, nobody seems to know what a "Zia" is- they also don't know about the green chile- pity the fools-

Got my turbo manifold built, buttoned up my extended port, clearanced, dowel pinned, etc. engine. Got all my guages ready to rock. Electronic boost controller setup is done. Intercooler is cleaned up and ready to install, as well as the Fluidyne Radiator. Started my competition worthy Memphis Audio stereo install. I know its more weight, but I'm an audiophile and put bitchin stereos in my cars, house, garage, etc. hahaha. Probably missing a few things, but I've gotten a lot done in the last couple of months. Hopefully my painter will be ready for her soon, so I can get my Carbon Creations 99 Spec front end and side skirts on, as well as remove the factory rear spoiler. She's getting factory Mazda Montego Blue sprayed back on with several coats of base and twice as much clear, along with a bit of flex agent so it doesnt chip so easy again. Still gotta get by Philips and pick his wheels up. I'll post a pic of my custom turbo manifold. Its going to be pretty experimental, but if you pay attention to wastegate positioning you'll see the advantage of this long runner design, it will control boost well, especially at the high (25+psi) boost levels I'll be running out of this GT42R.
Welcome to the Club!
Yeah, we have started trying to all meet again. I just had one a couple weeks ago. Once it warms up a bit more I'll put more and more together. Aaron is having one at the Owl Cafe soon, but its not a rotary only meet. Just keep your eyes open here, but give me your number and/or email address and I'll keep you posted. I am also very knowledgeable with rotaries, if you need help feel free to hit me up anytime. My name is Sean.

No go for me. The FD should be done, but I work all day Saturdays. Hope you have a good time though. I'll start getting a meet with a cruise together maybe mid-April sometime, that way I can have my final tune all done on my PFC and get it dynoed. My datalogger should be in later this week.
Looks good man! I'm glad you took my advice on the ProSport guages, you'll really be happy with them. Let me know when you're ready for me to come back over. Once you get all that little stuff sorted out, I'll drive it and see what the f^#K is going on. You know how to get ahold of me, Sundays and Mondays, mostly mondays, are best. I would love to see ol' Linda back in all her former glory haha!
Thanks bud! Hows yours coming along? I haven't forgot about you, I just haven't found a good engine or front clip. Supposedly he's got one coming in this weekend from a 2001 FD thats in great shape. That means you'll get the 280ps engine with the abradable compressors. If You end up getting it and you're not going to be keeping the turbos sequential or not keeping emmision equip, I get first dibs on all the solenoids hahaha! I know I'm going single, but I think I'm going to put a set of FD turbos and run them sequentially on the little TII engine that I've got in my sisters little FB. I think it would be a bit more fun set up like that. Then she won't have so much lag on that big single I've got on that engine now.
