End of semester crunch for me so I'm preoccupied with school.

 

Same deal here.. Finishing out the semester and finishing up a motor swap in my other car.

 

So i see a few people, after browsing for a bit, that are also from ABQ. Anyone happen to see me driving around? Hard to miss, been at least 2 different colors for the time I've owned it. Fairly loud, too. Passed a mint FD a while back, waved at him. Going up Indian school, right in front of Jackson Middle School. He waved back :3 Anyways, I've been seeing crap loads of FC's, more and more. Even saw one just today, turned in front of me. Eubank and Lomas. Didn't catch him in time though (I tend to wave or flash the lights at other owners, always fun when they do it back). But yeah, anyways, just thought it would be nice to know if anyone would recognize me, Maybe I'll recognize you, too? I've seen a few first gens as well, not just seconds. Lemme know.

 

what color was the FD you waved at? and ya, i've seen you around.

 

Twas Red. Seen it parked at the fairgrounds a few times, and then like i said drove past me in front of that middle school.

You wouldn't have happened to be driving up...What was it, Moon? One night? I drove right past what i thought was an RX-7, looked back in my mirror and sure enough. Thinking back it looked just like that.

And i see beater hondas every day...Hm, was it this Saturday? I drove up Eubank and turned onto Lomas, this Saturday, went to that McDonalds up by Juan Tabo for some foods. In fact i think i saw a Honda drive past me...Awesome, Nice to know I'm not all alone out here Doesn't seem like this section gets as much attention as the others.

So why are you selling it? I love seeing other rexes out on the road, makes me feel all warm inside.

 

Ha I get the same feeling. Yea that was probably me driving on Moon. I drive on that street every day. I'm selling it because I'm picking up an FD soon. Just don't have the garage space for both cars.

I went to the scca g-lot event for awhile man I miss autox but i didnt see any rx7?? I might have missed you guys... well I'll get ready for next season which is not to far off.

I see all kinds of fc's up and down Comanche (the drag strip lol) between Wyoming and eubank I agree there rx #'s are growing

I drive on moon everyday too especially since I live on moon. I'll be out in full force with the FD soon. My painter is ready for her, I just need to get my new engine and tranny in and get her over there. I'll start on that this weekend if anyone wants to come check it out. I'm really excited for this new setup. Engine is from an 02 Japanese FD. Couldn't have had more than 10-15k miles on it when I cracked it open. Its now got a very aggresive Racing Beat street port (done myself ) on intake and exhaust ports, RX7Specialties REC apex seals, and everything is balanced, clearanced, etc. If anyone is interested in full build detail I'll PM it to you. The turbo is an A-Spec GT500-R/SP kit. I'm super excited to finish this thing up, I need to get my *** in gear and get it done!!!

 

Oh, and as I've mentioned in the past on this forum, I am available to any of you guys for help with your Rota's. I have owned several of each generation. I've built dozens of engines, 12As and 13Bs. I've done everything from stock builds to full on race setups. I can port, I have Racing Beat and some older Judge Ito templates, including bridge and p-port templates. The last bridgy I built I sold here on the forum. It was a 13B-RE (Cosmo). It made (makes) well over 600hp. I think his corrected numbers were somewhere around 642 at the flywheel. It was my first Cosmo RE build, but I've done a handful since. I am really good with both carbs and FI systems. I can tune Haltechs, Microtechs, etc... Please feel free to contact me if you need local help. A lot of the local rota guys that have been around a while here in NM can vouch for me, I've probably built some of their engines or have left blood in their engine bay hahaha. Send me PM if you want my number or want to talk.

 

Yes he is the rx man to know! I've seen his last fc and his current fd.... both are some great works...

 

I'll be sure to keep you in mind for when i decide to tear apart this engine and rebuild it

We drove in the morning. That's probably going to be my last event in STR since I'm selling my 17" wheels. We'll be having a Pro Solo in July. Big news for our region. We're also having both novice and advanced schools next season as well as a two-day event at Sandia.

 

nice, I hope to make some of those events.

 

Going back to STS?

I'll probably buy a set of coilovers during the offseason and race STR another year.

 

Yeah, back to STS. I've got a few good tires left from last season so STS makes sense. I'll probably race STS-C for the competition though so the FC and the FB might face off again.

What coilovers are you looking at?

I'm selling a set of 5Zigen FN01R-C wheels 17 x 9, 5x114.3, +35 offset with 255/40/17 Hankook Ventus RS-3 tires. One tire is used up the others are in decent shape.

 

Justin 1992, lets cruise bro! I'm always cruising the rx with no other rotor heads. Once me and lenny drove around with our cars looking like twins. It was mean.
