I've got 820 miles on the rebuild so far! Car is running great. The 4k rpm limit is killing me though
About one more week and I'll have the break in all done.
Jason - Stopped and talked w/ Scott about your FD, he's got the fender fixed and rolled, no more dents in the hood, from bumper is primered, and half the body is sanded. He noticed that your driver side headlight is rubbing on the bumper when it flips up and down. He needs some advice on how to adjust the headlight/cover left and right. He's also wondering the easiest way to take the taillights out so he can buff them while the paint is drying. He's got some extra paint for the J-Spec bumper and spoiler.
For some reason the Optima has been running dead on him. He said the battery will not take a charge. He said nothing is staying on. All doors shut fine. Any idea what to could be draining the battery? He hasn't started the car yet.....he's scared of breaking anything, hehe. Would it be best if started it and let it run for awhile?

As for the front light..... As you can tell that is not the original cover. That will prolly require bending and fitting to make it fit the way it is suppose to. Don't be afraid to do some tweak'n of that light. Not sure what happened with that from the previous owner.
The tail light are easy to take out. If you don't know how you can break the tabs easily (I did on one).
you take the black plastic piece from in the trunk out. Then remove the screws from inside the trunk.
Now this is the part that got me. You have to SLIDE the tail lights away from the fenders. They do not come straight back.

Yeah, I try to keep it as clean as possible. The only reason I'm getting it painted is because when I purchased the car it was t-boned on the drivers side. So I've done some body work to it. I've attached a picture of what the car looked like after the t-bone.

hey guys we got a midnight race coming up in about two weeks wondering if i can get any help kicking the crap out of some mustangs and cameros its july 1st starts at 11 and goes to 4 in the morning if any one is interested let me know i can meet up with you or give you directions

call me this week.
I've been really busy like usual
I sold my TII and will depart with it once I get my FD back.
With that said I'll miss her but the FD has taken the spot light as far as projects go (aka money).
Now i'm looking for a practial car for winter and a FC chasis that is with out rust.
I think i've decided to do a full race preped FC.
First thing i'll do to it is gut it and repaint it so paint/interior/engine doesn't matter. Just no rust on chasis.
I still have my short shifter/steering wheel/rad/sparco seat- so i have the important stuff
