Congrats on catching the guy! That's got to feel satisfying. I had a GF's ex ram the back of my RX7 (long, long ago... '78 RX7) with his raised truck's construction bumper. He was following me home from her apt. late one night. Not too many people back then had car phones... boy was he surprised.

One suggestion: I'm not sure what the laws are in Texas, but if you're caught here with drugs in your car, the cops seize your vehicle. Might be a nice F.U. if he's buying drugs from your buddy and you anonymously alert the cops next time he's leaving with a bag of weed. Give them enough time to pull him over away from your place. Nice and legal.

(BTW- guest here... a link to this thread was cross-posted on EliseTalk.com from a thread about coming out to find people sitting on, bouncing ***** off, etc. of your car, or the evidence there-of, like butt-shaped stress fractures.)

Good luck taking the guy down, sounds like he needs it. It's always dicks in trucks like that who want to race me- then they get pissed off and act like ******** after their truck can't 0-60 faster than me. Morons.

Adam, when my FD was in the shop, the insurance company said they go by size, not class. So I ended up w/ a compact (since the FD is a "sport compact/coupe"). How do you get around that?

PS: No offense to you, but I friggin HATE insurance companies. Ya'll are SUPER dirty. I just spent an HOUR on the phone trying to get SOMEONE at my insurance company to explain to me how I have a speeding ticket that they assessed 1 point for, but a friggin NON-MOTION VIOLATION (expired registration) that they hit me up for with THREE points?! It's bad enough they can hit you up for non-motion violations "because they have their own point system"

Ford bought out Mazda in 1995, which just so happens to be the last model year of the RX7.

Sorry to break it to you, but a broke college student can't afford an RX7's maintenance let alone the sticker price of an FD, so I'm not exactly fraught by the thought that you might have changed your mind about buying one.

I think the only reason that people jumped on you is because you posted on your own forum about Ford owning Mazda and then proceeded to talk about Fords being crap. Can anyone be blamed for making the obvious connection you intended? You only posted about that crap on your forum, but if it was a stab at the F150 driver, as you claim, why didn't you post it here as well? [/RANT]

Either way, my point was that Ford never go their grubby hands on our FD's.

 

Tru...but if you wanna get *real* technical, it was only up to '98 that they were exported. 99 and up were for the JDM only.

if you didnt have a picture to back up the story i wouldn't believe it, your writing makes it seem like you're just making things up. the writing just seems to story-esque to be true.

College station, TX eh? That man is no true aggie. I myself just graduated with a BS in econ May of 05'... i'm up here in DFW for work. But I want to congratulate you on tracking that piece of **** down.

I think you did the right things, to all the people saying "to hell with the cops" go **** his **** up..... that just degrades one down the the original piece of ****'s level. Now if the cops just slap him on the wrist and he gets away without any consequences then you might consider alternative means of justice. Just remember revenge is best served cold, paitence and planning are key.

It takes the worst kind of ******* to **** with another mans ride.... wrong on every level. I hope justice is served up for that flaming bag of ****.

Man, what a douche - he better get what's coming to him. Though, I have a feeling the cops will drag their feet and end up not doing anything. I've never seen them take interest in anything aside from traffic stops and drug busts.
