If you don't need it (not a high speed racer, I presume) why get something that weighs too much, drags too much, and limits your visibility?
On the other way, if you run constantly at a banked track at more than 150mph then you would still be better off with a front splitter, undercarriage tray, rear end splitter and a smaller wing!

If big wings are worthless below 140, why do all the top prepared and modified autocross champions run them, and why does the SCCA restrict their use? Take a look at every national champion Mod, and Prepared car, BIG *** WINGS. If you don't know what you are talking about, take it to the lounge.Further, virtually all touring cars(DTM, JGTC, World Challenge, Grand Am, etc) run VERY LARGE WINGS, I imagine that they are just for looks.
As for how they look, that is a matter of personal taste, and I believe that was the original question anyway. Boy I sure have learned alot reading this thread

I have only seen a few good looking wings on street cars, and from what I understand they actually served a purpose. Unlike the fwd civics, who need it for downforce, downforce on what? The wheel are in the front.
Point is, they are meant for the track and unless they are used on one they do not belong on the street.

I had to get a new spoiler for mine, The OE one was knackered!! I couldn't get another one without going mail order from the US (i'm in the UK) so I got what I thought was a fairly small dual-wing - It was about a foot high!!!
On the plus side - all the boy racers now wanted to race me, and none of them won!!
It sort of looks like this one!!
