Yeah good point but if they had larger wings it would create more downforce and drag which would hinder there top speed, I dunno I guess it goes both ways, good point though.

They have Millions of dollors in research on aerodynamics so I dunno you tell me.

NASCAR hardly goes around road courses. They have a few races a year that aren't on ovals. 99% of NASCAR is ovals. Those card are designed for maximum performance on banks, and setup that way.

Drawing anything from NASCAR and applying it our real world cars, or real racecars that actually have to turn and brake is a waste of time.

I was thinkin about this some more...and if im not mistaken, nascar cars DO have somewhat of a small spoiler...it's a lip on the very back of the rear that curves up slightly...BMW does that on may of their cars...i guess cuz they think an all out spoiler would take away from it's classiness...so the very tip of the trunk curves up slightly, much like a lip spoiler. im sure it serves the same function as a lip spoiler, but of course has it's functional limitations, given it's size...

Like I have stated, I like to have the wing there when I do get into road kills at 100MPH+

U never know when that would happen and I like to be prepared when it comes to stability at those speeds.

BATMAN...ditto. Except for the "you never know" part...cuz I dunno bout you... at night, in the summer, I go out huntin for it hahaha

Chris...guess what? I was just watchin TV yesterday, and they were talkin bout NASCAR and had a bunch of NASCAR race cars on camera...and man..some of those things had a GIGANTIC spoiler lip. I mean it wasn't a wing in the sense that no air could pass between the lip and the car itself...it was just one HUGE lip that's connected at all points to the rear of the trunk..and i mean HUGE. this thing was at least 3" high...and the length of the entire trunk...

Kitted out, like the red FD in that pic, the aluminum wings look good. Gotta do alot of other body mods before a big "GT style" wing like that looks good, though. The red FD is hot.

Well, obviously it comes down to personal preference. Depends on the look your going for... However I think its VERY hard to pick one that actually looks good on a car, and yes a body kit is a MUST. Just my $.02

on street drivin cars that dont normaly exeed 150mph... yes it is very homo. in this case i just smile and nod as i press the loud pedal to stop the beep on my GAYdar!

on the other hand, if the amount of down force they can produce on a 300 hp 150mph plus racecars... who cares if its ugly if it keeps your rear from getting away from you at dangerously high speeds! in this case i choose life

I think some GT wings can look very good on FCs and FDs with some wild bodykits. I guess it all depends on personal taste.

ive noticed that 90% of the drift cars out there have bigass wing on them. everyone here knows that you need some mad downforce when you snap that ebrake doing 150mph+.
i firmly believe that putting a tall wing on your car for looks is such a lowball move. its almost as bad as rednecks with their monster trucks. my 90 gxl has the stock spoiler in the back, and i really dont think it does much at all....it might help when im going 150+, but wait, im not sure that my car could do 150. nor could any other import that doesnt have 20k under the hood.

My car doesn't have anywhere near $20K under the hood, and it can see 159 stock

The downforce a real aerodynamically designed wing produces is significant at 80mph+...and grows exponentially from there.

Take last night...in the span of a few hours, I can't count how many times I passed 100mph+...

I like the STOCK '99 Spec wing and the 15th aniversary spoiler. I wouldn't dream of putting a drag or GT wing on my FD...looks much better...

Damn....how can 56 prople vote that it is not gay. It is very gay. I personally like the stock r1 spolier myself. But the 99 spec is ok and there are a few others. But you should notice the car first and the spolier should just blend in. You don't want your attention drawn straight to the wing.

I personally not a huge fan of those type of wings but I keep getting told by people I run into that I should get one of those or a carbon fiber one. I don't have any type of wing on now and thought if I was going to get one it would be the 99 j-spec wing. What do you guys think, one of those wings, 99 spec, or no wing?http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/542356

W/ the CF wings, you gotta be careful. You don't want a CF pillar lol. Something more subtle. But I def. think it can work. That, or I'd go for the pettit super stock spoiler. I don't think the 99spec would blend well w/ your body work

Oh, and the reason why ppl keep telling you to get one of those CF GT wings is cuz you have the F&F body style hehe

yeah there gay, especially on cars that never see speeds over 100 so they dont even need it. the only time there not gay is when there on full out race cars that actually need it for downforce. i hate seeing stock civics with a fat pipe and big spoiler.

Yo dude you car looks mint !!!!!!

Hey if you want I have CF 3D-GT wings for sale and also have access to the CF 99' JDM RS wing.

The CF 3D-GT is similar to this however I run the J-GTC one its wider with more pitch.

The carbon 99' Spec is the same as the OEM but has a adjustable CF centre to the 99' Spec OEM spoiler.
